Three days passed and we were nearing the end of the christmas holidays, meaning that it would be time to go back to Hogwarts soon.
My mother hadn't spoken much to me since I asked for her permission to see Ronnie and there was a lingering tension in the house. I had also spoken to Cedric about it and the excitement on his face made it all worth it.
I had gotten a few more letters from Hermione and even Ernie, all of which were lovely and wished me luck in going to visit Ronnie, each and every one of them knowing how important it was to me.
But I had yet to get a reply from Draco, which sat in the back of my mind and made me regret even sending a letter, feeling stupid.
I was still waiting on a reply from Hannah too, who was strangely late for once which made me worry and wonder if something had happened.
Soon enough, the day came where me and Cedric were finally going to go and see Ronnie, together. It was terrifying, but we had been waiting what felt like forever, so we wanted to do it as soon as possible, hoping that she was happy to see us too.
Cedric didn't get as nervous as me, so the entire trip to St Mungo's hospital was spent with me worrying and him trying to reassure me and calm me down.
I did tell him many times though that there was no point, because nothing was going to calm me, apart from my new necklace maybe. My hand didn't leave it the entire trip there and by the end, I could feel my arm aching.
"You ready?" Cedric reached down to grab my hand, a small smile plastered across his face as we stood outside the big double doors to St Mungo's Hospital.
It was a large, creepy looking Manor that was covered in windows, some barred off which I guessed was to prevent patients from trying to jump out of the windows, making it even more intimidating.
I swallowed harshly and nodded, taking his hand and letting him lead me inside, both of us glancing around for signs and directions, remembering what ward she was based in.
The hospital was extremely crowded, people and healers in lime green robes running around and bumping into each other while trying to get pass. Strange noises could be heard through out the Hospital, echoing down the halls and making some of the people sat down jump up, scaring them. It wasn't the nicest of places, that was a definite.
"There." I pointed to a staircase with a sign that stated that the Janus Thickey Ward was on the fourth floor, exactly where Ronnie was supposedly located.
Cedric immediately rushed towards it and I followed after him, having to do a small jog to keep up, studying his body language the entire time. Although he tried to hide it, I could tell that this was having a big effect on him too.
I was just glad that we could do this together, I don't think I could do it on my own, or even with just my parents.
Both of us staying silent, we made our way up the stairs, having to stop every now and then to let big groups pass, some of them coming close to knocking us over, forcing us to squeeze against the wall to avoid being hit and dragged down.
Cedric didn't let go of my hand the entire time, squeezing it tightly each time we nearly got separated from each other.
But as we reached the fourth floor, it suddenly became much quieter and I was thankful, feeling calmer, until I realized that we were a few minutes from seeing Ronnie for the first time in merlin knows how long.
"You definitely want to do this?" Cedric turned to me as we reached the door to the ward, his eyes darting between mine, his face slightly pale.
I took a deep breath, preparing myself, "I do. Do you?"
