After the Hogsmeade trip, it wasn't long until our last day at Hogwarts before the christmas holidays and I was in the best of moods. Christmas made me excited and now that I was finished with getting presents, I could relax and just enjoy it.

A part of me wished that I was able to stay at Hogwarts for christmas, it looked beautiful. But, my parents claimed that I was too young and I would be able to next year. They said that last year though, so I wasn't going to get my hopes up.

Our group planned to give out our presents during the last morning before we boarded the Hogwarts express and I had been trying hard to force them to not tell people who they had.

Then again, I was tempted to tell Ernie or something so he could help me with what to get Hannah just incase the scarf didn't work out, but I decided against it in the end.

The lead up to Christmas was the best, the Christmas decorations and happy spirits spread around were enough to put a smile on my face every time I strolled around the castle.

I still had yet to speak to Draco. Things weren't bad or awkward between us from what I knew, but neither of us had a chance to pull the other to the side. Well, maybe I did, but I was too worried that Harry had a secret way of knowing.

It was better safe than sorry, even if it meant that I wasn't able to talk to Draco until after christmas break, since I doubted that I would be able to get a chance to see him before.

But I pushed him to the back of my head as I woke up for the last day at Hogwarts, loud voices waking me up early than I would have wanted to.

Everyone was so much more energetic since it was so close to Christmas, so trying to go to sleep early or wake up late was impossible. Even studying in the Library wasn't quiet enough, but no one was really studying at this time of year anyway.

As I cracked my eyes open, I could already see the girls running around with their presents, giggling and dancing to christmas music.

"She's finally awake!!" Megan gasped as she spotted me shuffling around in my bed, immediately hurrying over to jump on me, her hand grabbing mine to pull me up.

I groaned and rubbed my eyes, too tired to even fight her, "Leave me aloooone." I whined, squinting at the bright light.

She ignored my protests and dragged me to my feet before picking up the clothes I left out and throwing them in my face, placing her hands on her hips while she waited for me to get dressed.

"Come on! We need to do secret santa!" Hannah rushed over, "Do you like my christmas jumper?" She giggled, doing a quick twirl to show it off, then pulling her hair over her shoulders to give a view of the back. It was red and decorated with Reindeers in the snow, glitter running down the front which kept falling off every time she touched it.

I attempted a smile and turned around to get dressed, admiring the jumper I had picked out. That was also one of my favourite parts of christmas, or well, just winter. Being able to wear thick, wooly jumpers without being too hot was the best feeling.

Pairing one with tights and a skirt was even better, but sometimes that was too cold for the snow outside, which forced me to wear something warmer, but not as cute.

As soon as I finished getting ready, I bent down next to my bed to take out Hannah's present, admiring my wrapping skills. I usually was awful at wrapping presents, but over the summer Cedric had taught me the proper way, and now it was perfect.

"You ready?" Susan turned to me as I stood up with the present tucked under my arm, Megan opening the circular door to our dorm when I nodded, all of us following after her.
