Evan and I were soon back to his apartment, a sky rise building in the middle of LA. A bellboy and a valet waited outside anxiously for its tenets. It was extravagant, to say the least, and looked like it cost a fortune.
"Come on baby," Evan encouraged. I didn't realise that he was already on my side of the car, the door open, holding out his hand for me to take. I grasped onto his hand, helping him pull me up off the car seat.
We walked hand and hand into the apartment complex. Evan kept his head down as we entered the elevator, his other hand fiddling with the hem of his t-shirt. I looked at him, then looked down at the floor at my heels. This night had been nothing short of a disaster, my best friend exploding at me, rightfully so, about my deranged secret relationship with my ex boyfriend. Austin, I felt bad for, he didn't deserve this he was so sweet and he showed nothing but loyalty and commitment, to whatever we had.
Evan guided me to the door of his apartment, swiping a small key card on the reader and opening the door. His apartment was gobsmacking, everything looked so extortionate. The drapes were pulled back, revealing a large curved window, the whole of LA at our fingertips. It was a small distraction for the matter at hand.
He moved us into his bedroom, seating us on a king size bed, before he leant down to untie his sneakers. He kicked them off, laying his back down on the bed, staring at the ceiling. I followed, taking off my heels and curling up next to him, feeling his arm wrap around me comfortingly.
"It'll sort itself out Lex," he whispered, his lips in my hair, placing a soft kiss on my temple. I nodded, but the gnawing feeling in my gut told me otherwise. I still had to go home to Dana and Elliot, see their faces, knowing that they'll be seeing Austin in class, inviting him over and studying with him.
"I fucked up badly," I acknowledged, Evan moving from my side and sitting up on the bed. I was startled by his sudden motion, but sat up as well, looking into his dark eyes.
"I shouldn't have pushed you to say anything. It's my fault, I was being too out in the open with our relationship, I should've let you do it in your own time, I'm sorry, I promise I'll help you try fix it... I love you, I hope they see that this time it's different, we're different," he said, a small smile on his face.
I couldn't help but smile back, taking his words of affirmation to heart, knowing that he meant every last bit of what he said. The sincerity in his voice unwavering.
"You're right, I love you Ev," I replied, closing the gap between us and kissing him softly.
He pulled away, grabbing onto my hand and pulling me up off the bed.
"Come look at my sick apartment, you know you can stay here as long as you want, move in for all I care, you won't even have to pay," he rambled, pulling me from room to room and showing me his apartment. He even showed me his toilet.
"My favourite part is, this fucking window," he let out a low whistle, coming up behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist, his chin resting comfortably on my head.
"It's so beautiful Evan, you deserve this," I was in awe again at the view.
Evan turned me around in his arms, leaning down so that our foreheads were touching.
"No matter what, you're not gonna lose me again," he whispered, placing a kiss on my forehead. It was exactly what I needed to hear.
I leaned up and kissed him, pulling him in by the back of his neck, tilting my head as our mouths moved together. He relaxed into the kiss, his fingers grasping at the hem of my short dress, pulling it up above my waist. I bit his bottom lip gently, as his hands cupped my ass, lifting me up to wrap my legs around his waist.
His tongue invaded my mouth, soft, wet kisses ringing in my ears as I reached down to undo his jeans, so full of hunger for him. I moaned into the kiss, as he backed me up against his giant window, my back pressed against the cool glass.
He slid down his pants and boxers with one hand, the other holding me up.
"Evan-" I tried to interrupt him, not sure if we should have sex against his apartment's window, my heart racing in my chest as his kisses assaulted the skin on my neck.
"It's okay baby," he said, like he read my worry from the tone I said his name in.
I gasped as he sucked harshly on the skin of my neck, before pulling my panties to the side, his fingers wet with my arousal.
His slid into me slowly, his low moans echoing through the room as he entered me. I gripped onto his shoulders with my fingernails, totally consumed by the man in front of me.
His thrusts started slow, and then built up in pace, until he was fucking me harshly against window. I tangled my fingers in his short hair, connecting our lips again in a feverish kiss.
"Holy shit," he muttered, biting down on my bottom lip softly, before sucking in into his mouth.
I was a moaning mess, every thrust driving me a step closer to my climax. His heavy breathing and his profanity vibrated through me, his pace quickening.
"I'm gonna cum," he announced, throwing his head back as he finished inside me, his load filling me. His thrusts slowed to a stop, pulling out of me and setting me back on the ground.
"I fucking love you," he breathed out, coming back towards me and pulling me into another fiery kiss.
I pulled away, looking him in the eyes, cupping his cheek and running a thumb over his cheekbone.
"I love you too," I replied, watching his face light up into a smile.
"I almost forgot," he said, pulling up his pants and disappearing into the bedroom.
He came out again, holding a small box in his hands. He grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the couch, sitting me down as I adjusted my panties.
"Happy birthday," he said, his eyes watching me anxiously as I took the box from his open hands and opened it.
A gold bracelet, matching my gold ring sat delicately in the box, glistening from the overhead lights. My mouth opened in awe, before I took it out of the box, examining its beauty.
"Evan I don't know what to say, oh my god, it's so beautiful," I looked at him again, a big smile still on his face as tears welled in my eyes.
"Matches your ring," he said, taking it from my hand and clasping it around my outstretched wrist. I looked at both my pieces of jewellery, so in love with both.
"Thank you, I love you," i said again, pulling him in by the face and pressing a kiss to his lips.
"All for you, baby," he cooed, getting off the couch again and scooping me from the couch, carrying me bridal style to his bedroom.
