Chapter 31 Auction for Seaweed

Drandon, Lillie, and I are now at the Cascarrafa City, the place where the Water Gym is located, and I was surprised that this city also links to the Asado Desert, the biggest desert in the Paldea Region.

"So the Water Type Gym... must be an easy one for you, don't you think?" Drandon asks.

"Of course, Water Types are really awesome after all, I did tell you the story of my Gyarados, I also have some cool Pokemon like Wishiwashi, which actually gathers a lot to become the School Form, Milotic, which is actually a beautiful Pokemon as it is also strong, and also Greninja."

"The Greninja with the special form that only you are able to use, and thus it is called Ash-Greninja for some reason." Lillie says.

Drandon says, "You and your Greninja have been a great topic for all the regions. Though how it becomes like this is still a mystery after all."

"Yeah, and whenever Greninja feels pain, I can also feel it as well." I sigh. "But speaking of Water Types, the Z Move is also a great one."

"Hydro Vortex, it can create a giant tornado after all." Lillie says.

But just as we arrive at the gym, we hear a voice, "Vaultin' Veluza! I'm late! I'm late!"

We see a man almost bald with a blue apron rushing out of the gym and leaving, I say, "Hey, isn't that the Gym Leader?"

"But it seems like he's running for something..." Lillie says.

"Ah... Kofu! Wait!" We see the staff member rushing out of the gym, but in dismay that the Gym Leader is gone. "Ahh, he got away. How am I supposed to return this to him now...?"

Just then, the staff member notices us and asks, "Oh, hey! You're here as a Gym challenger, right?"

"Yeah, I am." I say.

"I knew it! Of course, you are! That big man that just left is Kofu, leader of the Cascarrafa Gym. He has a bit of a childlike side to him, and today, he's run off to the market without his wallet. He'll be in big trouble without it..."

"That's horrible! How was he supposed to buy things if he doesn't have any money?" Lillie gasps.

"But he should have his Rotom Phone and he can pay with LP." Drandon says.

"That's where you come in, kind Gym challenger! Could you please take Kofu's wallet to him?" The staff member asks.

"Sure, I'll help." I say as I take the wallet, which is somehow shaped like a Venonat.

"Ohhh! You're too kind! I'd give you a Gym Badge right now if I could! I'm counting on you!"

I flinch as bad memories are coming into my mind, I really don't like the badges that are given by pity... "Kofu's headed to Porto Marinada. It's on the other side of the desert to the west. Be careful, though. There are many dangerous Pokemon in the desert!"

"Okay..." We nod as we all head to the desert by using the special lifts in the city, and we also head to the desert and be careful not to get into trouble.

"This desert sure is a big one..." I say.

"But if we continue walking north, we can just arrive at West Province Area 2." Lillie says.

After getting there, we find Kofu looking at the flowers on the road. "Vaultin' Veluza! Where?! Where in the world...? You li'l flowers are gettin' battered by the sea breeze somethin' fierce, but you don't care! What strong, pretty li'l flowers... Where? Where in the world kin I go to find more like you?!"

"There's Kofu!" I say as we all rush toward him, but he just laughs a little and says, "Oh, shoot! I need to get down to the market!"

"Wait, Mr. Kofu!" We try to yell at him, but he's already left, and we have to continue chasing after him. On the way, we find some Dittos disguising themselves as Meowth and Grimer, much to our amusement.
