When we finish the Grilled Rice Balls, I walk towards the battlefield. The waitress asks, "Do you want to face the Exceptional Everyman himself, Gym Leader Larry?"
"Of course." I say. And the waitress turns around and yells, "Laaarrryyy! You're up!"
Larry sighs as he stands from his seat, taking the office bag from him, he walks towards the battlefield. "Hello. I'm Larry, I'm assigned to work as the Gym Leader of the Medali Gym. Good job on making your way through the Gym Test. And, well... maybe try the other dishes on the menu too sometimes. Everything's good here."
I don't know why, but this guy seems to be really tired all the time. He says, "Anyway, my boss will dock my pay if I spend too much time chitchatting."
"Your boss?" I ask, who is the guy's boss? Is it Chairwoman Geeta? "Let's get this battle over with."
The waitress says. "The battle between the Medali Gym Leader Larry and the challenger Ash Ketchum is about to begin. Each trainer will be using 6 Pokemon, and when one loses all 6 Pokemon, the other trainer wins."
"Thank you for doing business with us today. I, Larry, will be at your service." Larry says as he puts down his office bag, tidy his tie, and throws out a Pokeball revealing Oinkologne, which is a female one.
"Weavile, I choose you!" I decide to go with my Ice Type Pokemon first.
"I just ate, so... let's not get too hard." Larry says.
"Sure..." I mutter, since we just ate some food and I'm sure this man doesn't want his clothes to be stained.
Oinkologne goes for Body Slam, and it manages to hit Weavile and getting it paralyzed, Weavile goes for Night Slash, which manages to get a critical hit and deals some damage. But Oinkologne goes for Bullet Seed, which actually hits up to five times.
"Hang in there, Weavile! Ice Shard!" I yell. Oinkologne decides to go with the super-effective Iron Head attack, but I smirk as I use Counter to knock it out in the end.
The second Pokemon for Larry is a Komala, and its ability Comatose is a problem since it is half sleeping and half awake. It goes for a Yawn to make Weavile sleepy, and after taking the Night Slash, it goes for the Wood Hammer to defeat the asleep Weavile.
I decide to go with Tauros, which is actually my Zoroark in disguise. And when Larry notices that the Zen Headbutt doesn't work, he uses Sucker Punch to make Zoroark show himself. I have Zoroark use Focus Blast and Night Daze, and it defeats Komala in the end.
Braviary is Larry's third Pokemon, and it goes for Close Combat, knocking out Zoroark. So I decided to go with an Electric Type and I have Pikachu up the field.
"Crush Claw!" Larry yells, and the attack hurts Pikachu a lot, but Pikachu goes for Volt Tackle, and with the defense and special defense drop from the Close Combat, it hits a lot. Braviary goes for Rock Tomb to lower my Pikachu's speed, but I have Pikachu use Electro Ball first and defeat the bird Pokemon.
The fourth Pokemon is Maushold, a family of four form. And they use Population Bomb to knock out Pikachu. Lillie says, "Now that's what I called bullying..."
"Yeah... poor Pikachu can't handle four of them..." Luke mutters.
I decide to go with Mimikyu, since the ability to disguise and the fact that Maushold is a Normal Type helps a lot. But the Disguise is broken by the Bullet Seed, and both Pokemon decide to use Play Rough at the same time. And because of that, the match is a draw in the end.
The fifth Pokemon for Larry is Dudunsaprce two segment form, and I go for Toxicroak. Dudunsparce goes for Drill Run, which is super effective and deals a lot of damage, but I have Toxicroak use Sludge Wave to make it poisoned, and go for Brick Break. In return, Dudunsparce blocks with Hyper Drill. After the attacks, Toxicroak uses Counter to defeat Dudunsparce when it goes for the Dragon Rush.
