The shop's protecter

"hey do you have a napkin or something?" Zoro grabbed your wrist gently and you shook your head "what about you?" He asked the girl and she went through her pockets before pulling out one and handing it to him "Ow ow ow!! Too tight!" You whined as the male tried to treat it "I ain't no doctor! Just stop moving!! We can't have you losing more blood..it looks kinda deep" He scolded you and you covered your mouth "jeez if you can heal! Why didn't you just let it hit me!?" He shook his head after he finished "no way! I'm not a vice-captain if I can't protect my crew member" you huffed and he paused before letting a scoff "now, we gotta leave but first..who're you?" He turned to the female as she gulped "I'm..I'm a thief!" she answered nervously "actually...she's our new navigator!" Luffy grinned and you gasped "are you that girl who stole from Buggy's men! I heard you're talented!" You complimented her but she's just clenched her jaw "okay then! I agree on you being our navigator!" You nodded "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!? ARE YOU CRAZY? Also shouldn't he worry about getting out first!!" She began yelling "no problem..you just stay in the cage" Zoro walked up and grabbed the bars, you watched him impressed as he raised the cage before placing it on his shoulder "awesome Zoro!!" You exclaimed clapping your hands as the man stood firmly ignoring the girl's and Luffy's warnings "I do things my own way! Don't give me a limb about it!!"

Pushing the cage along with Zoro, you both huffed at the heavy weight "you shouldn't put much pressure on it" Luffy looked up to you and you looked down with a smile "don't worry, it's nothing" you stopped, sitting down legs crossed "they probably won't catch up to us too soon...maybe some rest wouldn't hurt" you placed your arms behind you and laid back on a wall gasping for air while Zoro plotted next to you "huh!?!" The three of you noticed a small white dog with thin ears, beady black eyes, and a short, brush-like tail. 

"Dog? Hey, a dog!" Luffy smiled excited and you patted it's head "awh~ it's so cute!" You squealed at how the dog melted to your touch "so it's alive! I thought it was dead cause it wasn't moving" Luffy suddenly poked the poor thing's eyes making the dog bite him in the face "you deserve that.." You mumbled laying back again next to Zoro "dumb dog! Lemme go, lemme..go!!" The raven haired boy shook his hand attempting to get the dog away only to earn a scold from Zoro.

You heard footsteps and you looked up to find the same girl from before "look at you three, not to criticize, but...is the middle of the street really the best hiding place you could come up with?" The ginger haired female said with a raised eyebrow "hey! It's our navigator!" You along with the other two spoke in the same time blinking at the girl as she clenched her jaw "I NEVER AGREED TO THAT!"

"I just wanted to thank you for saving me.." saying that she threw a key that landed between Zoro and Luffy, the locked boy celebrated only for his happiness to be cut short.

Chonk!

GULP!!

"Oh..god no" your jaw dropped when the dog swallowed the key in the blink of an eye "guess you can say he's trying to open up" you attempted to lighten up the mood but ended up getting grabbed by Zoro who yelled at you rocking you back and forth "Sorry..." You apologized holding your hands up in surrender while Luffy was chocking the dog to death.

"DERN WHIPPERSNAPPERS ! DON'T PICK UP ON POOR OL' CHOU-CHOU!"

An old man ordered..

Zoro took a room to take a nap because the energy he lost, after giving the dog some food, the old man, who was the mayor of the town you're in, began working on your injured palm "that could've been badly infected young lady" he told you placing some liquid that made it burn causing you yell out "it huuurts!!" You snatched your hand tears forming on the edge of your eyes "Just let him work on it!!!" The girl scolded you, grabbing your wrist and pulling it back, you tried to wiggle out but to complete fail "Agh! Don't cryyy!!" Luffy stretched his hand out holding yours and your glared at him "why are you crying?!" You chocked on your sobs "because you're crying you idiot!" "You're an idiot!!!" "SHUT UP! YOU'RE BOTH IDIOTS!!"

"Hehe.." The old geezer chuckled nervously and the thief girl shook her head pinching the bridge of her nose "I'm so sorry" she apologized "no don't worry about it" the old man nodded but after a long pause of thinking..

"This is his master's store..it's his treasure. And I think that Chou-chou still guards the store because it's all left of his beloved master"

When the mayor finished telling the dog's story, you felt your heart melt and you crunched in front of the dog picking it up "you're a brave one..chou-chou" you bumbed your forehead with his closing your eyes, the dog didn't seem to attack or fight back, golden locks shined from your hair but quickly faded away as you moved the dog away placing it down "done! Anything hurt?" You asked with a grin and he let out a bark, his old injuries no longer there and he was in a better shape.

The girl and the old man looked at you shocked, not a single thought going through after what they witnessed just now. Should they feel horrified? Scared? Or impressed? Thankful?

"ROOOOWRR!!"

A frightening growl echoed through the empty street making Luffy huff "something's coming this way! Give me the key, dog!" He frowned at the animal but it just let out a wurf sitting back to his spot.

A giant lion stood firmly, his fur is green and his mane is purple, on top of his head sat a man with muscular torso and thick lips. He wore a white fur vest that covers the area of his chest, they didn't look so friendly.

"Well, what have we here? I'm Mohji Buggy's first mate. They call me the lion tamer"
