Chapter Thirty-Four: Until We Meet Again

With Joey's help, I was able to escape the hospital to find (Y/N) and Daniel.

On my way out, I saw...

"That's... That's Finn! No way! What is he doing here?!" I whispered before tapping on the window, "Finn! Finn! Hey! Over here!"

He slowly sat up and looked over at me, "Holy fucking shit! No way! Sean! What the hell are you doing here?!"

"I'm trying to bail."

"Son of a bitch, I wish I knew you were here! Would've been a lot better if we were hanging. Shit. So, where's Daniel? and (Y/N)?"

"Just learned that Daniel's in Nevada," I looked down. "I'm hoping (Y/N) is too, but I won't put money on it."

He gave me a weird look, "What the fuck? Why Nevada?"

"I'm on my way to find out, man."

"Yes, you will, my friend. Damn, I wish I could help you, but I won't get too far. But hey, I brought this on myself."

"So, are the police on your ass or what?" I asked.

"Shit yes. Pigs want me to narc on everybody. Like they'd fucking believe me. They had a lot of questions about (Y/N) too— got the story all twisted, but that's fucking cops for you."

We were both quiet for a minute.

"So, how bad is it... your eye?"

"Let's say; I still got one left."

I could see Finn tear up," Sean, I know this doesn't mean shit to you now, but I am sorry... about everything."

"I don't blame you, Finn. You tried something, even if it ended up being a mistake. I'll just have to make things right for good now. Maybe it's (Y/N) getting to me and making me soft, but I know that she wouldn't let me get mad. She'd look me in the eye and tell me that everything that happened is over. All we can do now is do what we can to make it better."

"Thank you, Sean. You're a fucking gem, man. I know that you and (Y/N) will get the ending you deserve."

"Me too, Finn."

"You're gonna find them, Sean. I trust you. So you should trust yourself too."

"I gotta go now," I told him, putting my hand against the window, "Take care, Finn."

"One more thing before you go, man."

I was about to go, but that held me back, "What?"

"Take care of (Y/N). She's hard on the outside, but she's so different on the inside. Mama needs a fucking break, I'll tell you that."

"I know. I hope she's okay— I need her to be okay."

"Yeah, and you better be a kickass dad."

"I will."

I made it down the scaffolding and jumped off. After searching, I found an unlocked car and hotwired it before driving off.
