"How is your leg today?" Max asked four days later. Leaning against the Jack Russell terrier, Gidget hummed softly and murmured, "It feels better than it did yesterday. Probably cuz I'm with you." His tail wagging quietly, Max nuzzled his girlfriend lovingly.
A camera went off.
"You guys are just the sweetest couple," Snowball remarked, a camera in his paws. "Snowball, what have I told you about our privacy-" Max growled. He was interrupted though when Gidget piped up, "Oh let him take pictures, he's not hurting anything wrong. It's not like we're dating in secret." Flashing a smile at Snowball, the Pomeranian winked at him as she went on, "Go ahead and snap a few."
"Wait, what-" Max was interrupted again when Snowball exclaimed, "Okay!" Without a moment's hesitation, the white rabbit rapidly snapped one picture after another, blinding Max with the flashes more than once. Satisfied with the successful photo shoot, the bunny gave the couple a thumbs up as he commented, "Thanks guys, you're the best!"
"What the actual heck? You guys are letting Snowball take pictures of you now? I thought you hated it when he did that," Chloe remarked as she and some of the other pets entered the apartment. Looking up from his food bowl, Duke mumbled with his mouth full, "Yeah, surprised me too."
"Oh come on, what's one little picture gonna do? I think we should be more open about our relationship Maxie, everyone knows we're dating. What's the worst that can happen?" Gidget pointed out, rubbing her head under Max's chin. The Jack Russell terrier was completely speechless. Meanwhile, a few of the other pets felt uncomfortable. Averting his gaze, Pops grumbled, "Well, I hope Puffball remembers what she said if I ever catch them in public-"
"Dude, not in front of the kids," Buddy whispered, gesturing towards Mel and Norman. Sweetpea chirped in agreement. Rolling her eyes, Chloe muttered, "So, are we having a meeting or what?"
"Oh yeah!" Snowball cried, remembering why he was in Max and Duke's apartment.
