"Hey Ozone, where you going?" Snowball asked, looking up from the card game. Peering over his shoulder as he stood on the windowsill, Ozone yawned as he responded, "I kinda wanna get back home before it gets late. It's been a long day and I am exhausted." Confused, Leonard mumbled, "You've been napping all day-"

"See ya later suckers!" Ozone cut off Leonard. Jumping down onto the fire escape, he looked back to make sure that no one was watching. Then he ascended up the steps towards the apartment building's rooftop. The hairless cat needed to talk to someone. And he believed that someone needed to talk with him too. Arriving on the roof, he made his presence known as he meowed, "This must be a first."

"Yeah, must be," Tiberius replied, turning around. The hawk had just gotten up on the rooftop after catching 'Gidget' wandering around in the basement. He knew very well that something was not adding up. He was relieved that someone else was thinking the exact same thing as he was. Unfortunately, it was the one person he didn't get along with. Standing face to face with Ozone, the old red tailed hawk murmured, "So we're in agreement? Something's up."

"You followed her, didn't you? She went right to the basement," Ozone guessed. Nodding his head, Tiberius growled, "I'm no dog but I got a good sense of smell. That dog ain't Gidget and all I can smell right now is trouble. A lot of it. It's practically overwhelming."

"I can smell it too."

"Think Gary is behind this?"

"If it's not him then I don't know who is."

"We need to find the real Gidget," Tiberius remarked thoughtfully. Sitting down and wrapping his tail over his paws, Ozone washed one of his ears as he warned, "Be careful. Whoever this dog is, she's dangerous. Take one wrong step and you're a goner." Looking over at the hairless cat, the red tailed hawk asked, "Then how come you're up here with me?"

"Cuz I'm the only other animal in the group who can see past the veil of lies."

"Partners?"

"Partners."
