Together, the resistance leapt into battle, tackling the robotic dogs. Sweetpea flew back and forth, pecking at the robots. Pops, meanwhile, was gnawing on the back leg of one and refused to let go. Staying a safe distance from the main battle, Norman shot his targets with a Nerf gun. Mel and Buddy teamed up, holding on to one robot like they were riding a bull at a rodeo.

"So, uh, I guess you guys know about the imposter?" Max asked as Chloe approached the prisoners. Carrying a pair of scissors, the tabby cat sneered, "I guess you kissed another girl?" The Jack Russell terrier groaned in response. Struggling to get free, Snowball piped up, "You getting us out of this mess?"

"Sure, of course. But I need to hear something from the dogs first," Chloe pointed out. Glaring at the cat, Duke muttered, "You've got to be kidding me." Twirling the scissors, Chloe purred, "Come on, let me hear it." Scoffing, Max grumbled, "There is no way I'm gonna-"

"Cats are superior and dogs are a bunch of dumb dumbs!" Leonard blurted out. "Leonard!" Max and Duke shouted. However, it was done. Handing the poodle the scissors, Chloe leapt into the battle. Staring at Leonard as he began cutting his way out of the ropes, Snowball muttered, "You have no shame, do you?"

"Blasted robots! Fight!" Gary barked. He had just witnessed Mel and Buddy dismantle one. Meanwhile, Sweetpea and Pops tricked two more to destroy each other. That left only two robots to deal with. The beagle was too busy barking out orders that he didn't realize Chloe was sneaking up on him until he was tackled. "You're done messing with us," Chloe hissed, "You can't defeat us."

"Correction! It's you who can't defeat us!" Trixie growled. A moment later, Chloe was knocked off of Gary. Before the tabby cat could get to her feet, the Pomeranian lunged forward and bit down on her leg. A loud snap followed. "Rhonda!" Pops howled, realizing the feline was injured. He rushed to her side with the others while Gary confiscated the scissors from Leonard. Trixie and the robotic dogs surrounded the group. Smiling, Gary declared, "Let this be the day that you all perish!"

A Nerf gun bullet struck Gary on the back of the head. Turning around, he saw Norman getting ready to take another shot. Scoffing, the beagle commanded, "Start with the hamster." One of the robotic dogs broke off from the circle and advanced towards Norman. Horrified, Chloe yelled, "Norman run!" Realizing he was in danger, the guinea pig tried firing again but unfortunately he was empty. Throwing the gun, he ran. "We need to do something!" Max exclaimed. Gnawing on the ropes, Snowball muttered, "Working on it!"

"Work on it faster!" Buddy retorted. He and Mel were trying to help Leonard and Duke. All the while, they could hear Norman screaming for help. The guinea pig attempted to climb up some boxes but fell down. Towering over the small rodent, the robotic dog cornered him. Whimpering, Norman curled up into a ball, waiting for the blow. But it never happened, for the robotic dog was looking at the basement window. A shadow had passed in front of it.

Then the glass shattered.
