"We're here!" Mel called out, hopping down from the windowsill. He was followed by Buddy and Sweetpea. Her head whirling around to face them, Chloe shushed them with a hiss. Peering out her window, she meowed, "Were you followed?" All three shook their heads. Breathing a sigh of relief, the tabby murmured, "Right, let's do this."

"I assume we're all on the same page here?" Pops remarked, relaxing on a pillow with Norman. "That something is up with Gidget? Oh yeah, I totally agree," Buddy responded, "Literally yesterday I bumped into her on accident and she yelled at me like a banshee."

"She practically screeched at me when I did the same thing two days earlier," Mel added, shuddering at the memory. Staring at his paws, he continued, "Then there was another time where she criticized Sweetpea for flying around inside her apartment." Sweetpea chirped softly, recalling that. Curled up next to Pops, Norman whimpered, "She yelled at me today. She never yells at me."

"I'm not sure if you youngsters noticed but Puffball is a lot more romantic than I remember. And I mean it in an uncomfortable way," Pops stated, "She mostly is with Tiny Dog but there are so many times where I've seen her look at some of the other guys in a way one shouldn't when they are with someone." Tilting his head to the side, Mel asked, "Did she ever look at me like that?"

"No."

"...aw man..."

"Guys focus, we have a crisis on our paws," Chloe hissed. Pacing back and forth, the tabby cat muttered, "This isn't our Gidget, we know that. Ours is missing and I know we should go looking for her. But something tells me we can't leave the imposter alone, not with those who are too blind to see. She's up to something and we need to be ready for whatever happens."
