"Since when have you been so interested in my work?" Snowball questioned, finally breaking the uneasy silence that had followed Gidget's words. Everyone had been absolutely shocked and a little terrified. They didn't want to be experimented on due to past experiences. Before Gidget could answer, Ozone got up and remarked, "Yeah, since when have you been so interested?"
"Well, I heard that Snowball has been working really hard on something and I hoped he might show us what it is," Gidget replied. Looking over at Snowball, she batted her eyelashes at him, thinking that might win him over. That actually had the opposite effect cuz now Snowball felt very uncomfortable. Rubbing the back of his neck, the rabbit stuttered, "Uh... sorry, no... no I'm not working on anything..."
"Where have you heard that rumor anyway? I haven't heard anything," Max remarked, looking over at his girlfriend. He had also felt a little uncomfortable when Gidget batted her eyes at Snowball. He wasn't the only one either. Everyone had cringed when they witnessed that. Chloe even looked like she was gonna be sick. Shrugging her shoulders, Gidget kissed her boyfriend as she replied, "Oh you know. Rumors fly around faster than the pigeon flies."
"That's cuz pigeons aren't that fast," Pops pointed out.
"Oh shoot, would you look at the time. I'm sorry guys but I have a vet appointment soon," Gidget announced, glancing at the clock. Kissing Max one more time, she left. The room was deathly quiet before everyone shrugged their shoulders and went back to what they were doing. However, one animal thought something wasn't right. Curious, they left to follow Gidget.
