Today, I am travelling on a short narrow path surrounded by magma on both sides.

And I just killed another lavahorse, I am waiting for it to cool down right now.

By the way, I discovered from double appraising that these lavahorses are actually Fire Wyrms.

That means Fire Dragons probably exist in this place.

The thought of running into more Dragons is...

That is when something else pops out of the magma.

Another lavahorse perhaps?

Inner Critic: Nope, it's a giant catfish, Hiiro.

Inner Critic: Hiiro, Appraisal-sama says it's pretty strong actually.

I look back and the first catfish has already finished eating the lavahorse and started walking towards me.

These things can swallow anything small enough in one bite with their giant mouth.

I am flanked on both sides of the path I am on!

The only way out of this is to fight then!

I wrap a Poison thread around one catfish's mouth and check the appraisal result.

As I had hoped, it's not so strong that it is immune to Poison.

The threads burn up quickly and the catfish lunges in to eat me.

Wait, eat, swallow anything?

I create a ball of [Deadly Spider Venom] and leave it behind to be eaten in my place as I dodge the catfish.

The catfish's HP drops at terrifying speed while it riles around in pain.

Mahaha!

No, wait, there's another one right behind me!

I turn to face the other catfish, but it is chickening out and runs away.

Seriously!? Ain't I supposed to be the coward here?

I mean, I get it, I am just that terrifying.

Mahaha!

No, let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Inner Critic: I was about to say that, Hiiro. Don't steal my thunder!

Isn't it a good thing I don't need you to remind me to stay humble all the time, Inner Critic?

Anyway, with another ball of [Deadly Spider Venom] thrown at the suffering catfish's face, it dies.
