3-19: Interu vs That, Phase 2 (Apex 2 & Spider 67)

Apex 2:

Casting off the Maker's protection, I spent my Skill Points on specific Skills to counter her.

In a minor way, this puts me at a disadvantage, as I am unfamiliar with these new Skills, I am bound to make mistakes using them.

I am sure she can and will take advantage of them to achieve victory.

Still, I will face her as an equal and give it my all in this duel.

I combine my newly acquired Fire Spells with my Earth Spells, spreading fissures of flames along the walls and up towards her.

At the same time, I create more sideway pillars covered in fire that I can use as platforms while she cannot, not without burning herself that is.

I shall create a 'web' of blazing inferno to trap her as she did me.

I go up to chase her down while spreading the flames upward with my Earth Spells, and she naturally flees upward too.

I caught up to her by permanently activating my [Mental Warfare], [Magic Warfare] and [Dragon Power] for now.

In response, she activates her [Battle] and [Magic Divinity], as well as [Dragon Power].

Neither of us are holding back now.

I then try to end her again with constant claw slashes as she dodges them all again.

With her boosted Stats, she is so fast now I have to seriously strain my mind to keep up with her as I try to hit her.

Maker's Beloved: "Proficiency has reached the required level.

Condition satisfied.

Skill [Multi-Minds LV1] has been derived from [Parallel Thinking LV10]."

Thrown off by the sudden introduction of another mind, I fumble and she uses the opportunity to put a lot of distance between us again.

At the same time, I can feel the speed and depth of her thoughts increasing, it's likely her mental enhancement has just increased as well.

More importantly however, she has reached the ceiling by crashing into it.

With both me and the flames approaching, I wonder what her next move will be.

She decided to launch herself off the ceiling with another of her Shock bombs.

Combined with gravity, she is moving downward at such speed I can barely see her at all.

Still, I managed to graze her as she passed by me with my claws, setting her on fire.

I halt my upward momentum as fast as I can and give chase going downward now.

She summons a liquid ball of healing and dove into it to put herself out, but slows down significantly in the process.

I won't give her a chance to breathe, else she may go on the offensive and win.

Victory will be mine!

I launch dragon breaths at her, forcing her to stop healing and continue running from me.

She uses her small size to weave through the flames, but her movement is still handicapped by all the obstacles nevertheless.

I caught up to her and forced her to dodge toward the wall with another claw slash.
