A/N: I'm so, so heartbroken by the loss of Christine McVie. It feels completely unreal that one of the five fireflies is no longer with us. In many ways, I think she was the backbone and peacemaker of the band that held it all together sometimes. Loved everything about her as well as her music. I'm not sure if it's too soon to post a new chapter, I was going to wait, but I decided to just share for those who want to read and escape right now. In honor of Christine, here is a drama-filled chapter that she would probably be laughing and cracking jokes about to Stevie and Lindsey if it happened IRL. RIP to you, Christine <3 You will be remembered forever.

Stevie laughed as she playfully chased Lily around the counter, the two of them goofing off after dinner. They'd sat at the table together as soon as Lily got home from music lessons and recapped the entire day over a lasagna Stevie made the night before. She was going to cherish every second of this time together before she had to leave for tour in just a couple months.

"Okay now go upstairs and get that homework done!" Stevie ordered, bopping Lily on the nose playfully.

"Seriously mom? You promised I could go on the computer first."

"You get an hour of computer time AFTER the English assignment is done."

It still hadn't hit her that soon she would have an 11-year-old daughter, the time completely flew by in the blink of an eye, just like everyone warned her it would. Just as she was about to go upstairs after her, a ringing came at the front intercom. Wondering who in the world it could be, she furrowed her brow and headed towards the door, shocked to find Kristen Buckingham looking back at her.

"Kri—" she began, but was promptly cut off.

"You have SOME fucking nerve," Kristen interrupted, finger pointing in the air, "How DARE you!!!!"

"What in the world are you talking about?" Stevie tried to hide her shock.

"I listened to the fucking album. That's what I'm talking about!"

Stevie wanted to sigh a huge breath of relief that this wasn't about Lindsey just leaving her house a couple hours earlier, but that seemed inappropriate at the moment, "The album?"

"YES, the album, Stevie. Did you all think it would be a secret from me? After the bullshit you've pulled now you're going to write songs like this about my husband? Who do you think you are?"

"Would you lower your voice?" Stevie glared at her, "Lily is upstairs."

"Oh, excuse me! Maybe you shouldn't go around being such a wannabe home wrecker if you don't want your daughter to hear!"

Stevie shot her another glare and shoved her through the front door and out onto the step, following before looking back up the staircase to make sure Lily was still in her room. She closed the door behind her. "I don't know what you THINK you're saying, Kristen. Perhaps if you fill me in maybe I'd have a better idea."

"You know exactly what I'm saying, otherwise you wouldn't have wrote that fucking song baiting me that everybody is going to find out or whatever bullshit you're saying after admitting you want my husband back."

Stevie scoffed, "My songs have NOTHING to do with you, please don't flatter yourself."

"I'm not an idiot, Stevie. I see what you're doing. And I see the way you're trying to making my idiot husband fall at your knees all over again like he used to. Those days are over, got it? It's really fucking pathetic, singing about your ex like that now that you're an old has-been. And you're fucking insane if you think I'm going to let you act like this and go on tour with him without me."
