Two updates in one day because I couldn't stop writing and you guys have been the best with your kind comments. Enjoy, this is a long one because it's finally flashing back to The! Incident! (As a PS, I did add a mature rating and there is some NSFW stuff in this one)

Flashback to December 31, 2008

Lindsey made his way through a crowd of guests currently flooding his living room. His wife had convinced him they should host a New Year's Eve party this year — and they currently had way more guests in attendance than either one of them expected. But, there was still one person in particular he was on the lookout for.

After Mick and John both said they'd be in attendance with their families, Stevie agreed she would bring Lily along too - much to Lindsey's relief. He hated parties, even more than that, he hated "hosting" parties. But he'd spent the last several months thinking of Stevie, waiting for his next opportunity to see her, and finally, this would be it. They last saw each other four months earlier at the kids' music school concert. Other than that, though, he had no excuse to hangout with her. Ever since the last tour ended, they both agreed they would cool things off - things, meaning the affair they accidentally fell into while on the road. They made a pact that they'd be together for real once their kids were fully grown. Now, only a year and a half into their agreement, Lindsey was starting to doubt whether he could wait that long.

"Ready for 2009?!" A man's voice asked him as a hand grabbed his arm, but his attention was focused on the woman entering the room.

Before she was even visible, he knew it was Stevie based on how the crowd around her reacted. Emerging from a throng of people, there she stood in the foyer somehow looking more incredible than he remembered. His mouth watered as he took in her appearance - she wore a black velvet dress that sat just slightly off her shoulders, revealing her collarbones and light glistening skin. Her hair was more voluminous than usual, with big, loose waves falling down her back and dark red lipstick gracing her plump lips. Her eyes met his with a smile. She was glowing in every sense.

"You made it," he grinned while approaching her, "I was beginning to think you were going to be a no-show."

"I wanted to make an entrance," she joked twirling around and lifting her hands in the air playfully as she wiggled her hips.

"Mission accomplished," he stated plainly, his eyes hungrily roaming up and down her body, causing her to blush.

Just as she reached out her arms to him, Lily ran out from behind her excitedly, "Lindsey!!!!" She squealed.

He smiled at Stevie then down to Lily, "Hello, Miss Lily, Happy New Year's Eve to you."

"Isn't it Happy New Year's at midnight?" She challenged him, looking to her mom for assurance.

"Yes," Lindsey laughed, "Excuse me. Did you have a good Christmas?"

"Yeah, hey where are William and Leelee?"

"They're down in the basement with all the other kids playing," he nodded towards the basement door.

Lily looked up at Stevie with a smile, "Can I go mom?"

"Yes, of course. But Lily," she called, causing her daughter to turn back around, "Be GOOD."

"I knoooow, mom," she groaned, running off and leaving she and Lindsey alone once again.

He turned back to her with a smile, "Now, where were we?"

She leaned in to wrap her arms around his shoulders loosely, kissing the side of his ear lightly, "Hello, Lindsey. Happy New Year's Eve," she teased, pulling back with a grin.
