7 || WHAT'S IN THE HEART?

Her eyes
And her face..
Her lips and her gaze..

That was what I have been thinking since tomorrow. I couldn't help but still in a haze that what just happened yesterday. Was Siera just about to kiss me? If it was then why-

Ugh, what are you thinking, Vira? Why would she kiss you? I smacked my head while walking back and forth in my room. Maybe she just wanted to scare me. But...then why did I get flustered first? She was indeed beautiful. I have never thought this before in this way. What was happening to me?

Nervously, I sat on my bed and bit down my lower lip. Then why is my heart beating fast-

"Ugh that's it! I'm not going to think about this any more!" I loudly said to myself.

"Oh? What are you not going to think anymore?"

Flinched, I looked at the source and chuckled nervously. It was mom who was standing on my doorway, probably was going to Siera's room cause I saw some ironed cloths in her hands.

"I-I m-mom...", I stammered at my words.

Shit, shit...

"Actually mom there is a audition for the music club at our college next week. Maybe she was practicing not to get nervous."

I saw, out of nowhere Siera spoke while standing behind mom. Was she slightly smirking too?

But then I saw mom gave an understanding nod and told me, "Okay good luck!"

I quickly flashed her a smile and she left but not before returning the smile to me too. I sighed and then looked at Siera who was already looking me. Nervously, I tried to look at anywhere but her eyes and said, " Thank you.."

But it only came out as a whisper. Gosh...I'm so helpless..

I heard Siera chuckled and then left but not before saying,

"Your crimson face is so cute.."

I widened my eyes in shock and covered my cheeks with my both palms. Aish..why are they so hot?

I tried to calm myself down and eventually did. Don't overthink, she is just your sister, and sisters always tease..

But little did I know someone inside me shouted in my ear, "she was your step sister!"

And I again felt my heart throbbing...

I took a deep breath before entering the college. Yeah, after struggling a lot in the morning, I decided to come to the college. I still was not ready to face Naomi but okay, I needed to face her and even though she misunderstood I needed to clear up things with her.

Nodding my head with clarity, I walked towards our campus. In no time, I saw Naomi, sitting on a bench under a huge tree doing something on her laptop.

With another nod to myself I finally approached her.

"Hey, Naomi.." I said with a smile.

Naomi looked up at me and her face lit up.

"Hey, what's up?! Finally you came!"

I chuckled nervously and said, "Yeah.."

"Hey girls, what are ya talking about?"

Before Naomi could tell me, we both heard a male voice and it was Christen, came towards us with a coffee in his hands and sat on the opposite side of the bench.
