December 10th. Snowball fight
☆☆☆
"Do you... miss Narnia?"
Peter glanced at Susan as the two wandered through the park, wrapped in coats and gloves and scarves as a light dusting of snow fell from the dark clouds above. "Course I do." He whispered.
Susan took a deep breath and nodded slowly. "I even wish we were back at the professors." She said slowly. "At least there, we had the wardrobe in the same house as us."
Peter bit his lip, shoving his hands into his pockets. "I guess that was a comfort yeah." He breathed.
Susan sighed. "You really reckon we'll go back one day?" She mumbled.
"The professor said we would." Peter replied quietly.
"No," Susan said. "Do you believe we'll go back."
Peter took a deep breath, before he smiled weakly at his sister. "I believe we'll go back yes." He said firmly.
Susan smiled at this. "That makes me feel better," She said. "Thank you."
Peter's smile widened a little, and he nodded. "Now come on," He said. "What do you say we have some fun?"
Susan raised an eyebrow at him. "Have some fun?" She asked.
"Yeah, the snow's settled a little, Edmund and Lucy aren't here to make it competitive." Peter said, bending down next to a pile of snow.
Susan took a step back. "If you throw that snow at me I swear-"
She didn't have time to finish her sentence though, as as quick as lightening Peter had grabbed a ball of snow and threw it at her.
Susan gasped as it hit her on the shoulder, and after shaking it off she immediately grabbed a snowball of her own, chucking it straight back at her brother.
Her aim was true as it hit him in the stomach, and with a grin Peter carried on the snowball fight, until the two were pretty soaked from the snow, and there wasn't actually a lot of snow left to actually throw.
"Okay, okay," Susan breathed, brushing snow off her coat. "You win."
Peter grinned. "I always do." He said.
"Gosh, and you say Edmund and Lucy are the competitive ones." Susan grumbled playfully.
Peter laughed. "I guess I can be rather competitive." He admitted.
"I'll say." Susan breathed, "Come on, we should head home and warm up."
Peter nodded in agreement. "That's probably a good idea." He said. "Is there some of that chocolate cake left you made?"
Susan smiled. "I think there's exactly two slices left." She nodded.
Peter chuckled. "Unless Edmund and Lucy get there before us."
