JACOBS POV

We finally reached Noon Moons Pack and got to their pack house were the get together was being held. Me and Vanessa met with their Alpha and Luna and just talked for awhile. They were good people and I was glad we had a treaty and were allies. They were a pretty large pack too, the third largest in the United States. I liked to keep my contacts as good friends. Better for my pack and theirs.

Vanessa and the girls went into the kitchen with Noon Moons Luna and me and the guys sat out back with the Alpha. "So, Jacob, how are things," Noon Moons alpha asked me. I knew exactly what he was talking about. Vanessa. Everyone seen the huge blowout we had at the Royale castle. I was ashamed of myself, to say the least. Everyone knew how much I hurt Vanessa and I didn't like that. I loved her and what I did still haunts me everyday.

"Things are looking up. I have my Luna back at my side and my pack is thriving," I grinned. Everyone nodded and voiced their happiness for my packs prosperity.

While all the women were inside, us men decided to relax a little and unwind. We cracked open some henny and Gin and drank and talked. We discussed possible new treaties and boundary areas along with what packs to not associate with. As much as the werewolf community praises it's unity, there are some of our race who are nothing but even.

Those are packs like : Black Shadows, Devils Bend, and Vengence. Those are the 3 packs that have devoted their existence to power for themselves. Although, they are small packs, they are conniving and cunning. They usually stick amongst themselves though, unless you happen to run across them. They are all ran with a tyrant Alpha. But the pack members still remain loyal.

We often don't talk about these packs because it's just better that way. They are the definition of evil. They kill amongst themselves. We would never permit a member or our packs to kill another. That's just barbaric and goes against all laws of loyalty.

It was already one in the morning and we were still drinking and having a good time. Ofcourse, our alcohol was "tainted". Mixed in with the regular human liquor we had was vampires blood. It's what really got us fucked up. But hey, what's a little going to do?

I was pretty buzzed by now and I missed my girl. I got up from my chair and went inside to look for Vanessa. I could vaguely smell her upstairs. So I followed them and reached a sort of den on the 2nd floor on the left side.

Vanessa was staring at one of Noon Moons pack members with disgust on her face. "How dare you talk to me that way," she growled. He smirked and said, "I'm just being honest. He did cheat on you, why not do it back? Especially when I can make you feel way better than he can." The pup grabbed my mate around her waist and pulled her to him.

All I could see was red. RED. Red. A large, deep growl emitted from my chest. They both turned and looked at me. The pup immediately let go of Vanessa. "A-alpha Jacob," the pup gulped. I barged to them and pushed the pup against the wall. "How dare you lay a finger on my mate," I said through clenched teeth. "I didn't mean to, I just, I mean, I'm drunk," the pup said, frantically.

I was shaking and losing control. "Jacob, calm down. You know this isn't a good idea," Vanessa said. I looked at her and said, "he smells me on you, you are mine. He disrespected that. It's not acceptable!" Noon Moons alpha, beta, and my beta were now upstairs.

"Jacob, calm down, I'm sure we can find an alternative punishment for Efrain," Noon Moons alpha told me. I just growled through clenched teeth. "No one touches my mate," I barked. Vanessa's tiny hand was now on my shoulder. "Jacob, I'm okay, please, we cannot lose this treaty," she whispered into my ear.

I was still fuming. Seeing another man grab her in that way. It killed me inside. The fact that he brought up the incident that I've been working so hard to keep off Vanessa's mind, what would this do to her? I don't want her to think about that again.

My anger intensified and I slammed the pup hard into the wall. You could hear a loud crack and the pup whimpered. "Jacob," Noon Moons alpha growled, "if you do this, we will no longer be allies."

"Jacob, please," Vanessa begged me. The urgency in her voice made me let go of the pup and immediately pull her into my arms. I rubbed her back, comfortingly. "Glad to see our friendship trumps the anger," Noon Moons alpha said then turned to the pup and ordered, "take him to the dungeon. I'll be down in a few hours." The pups eyes widened as Noon Moons beta grabbed him and escorted him to the dungeon.

"I'm sorry, Jacob, I assure you the men in my pack never act so disrespectful," Noon Moons alpha told me. I nodded and said, "I let this one off fairly easy. Considering I was prepared to rip his vocal cords out. I'm sure this will never happen again." He agreed and apologized for the disrespect from the pup and I accepted.

Vanessa kept her arms wrapped around me in a comforting way as she asked me if we could go home. Immediately, I scooped her up into my arms as my pack piled into our cars and went home. As I drove, I kept looking at Vanessa through the side of my eye. She had her knees up to her chest and she was staring out the window with a blank face.

Damn, I'm screwed. We got home and Vanessa went straight to our room. And of course, I followed. She took off her clothes and put on one of my t shirts. She just laid in bed and wrapped the blankets around her without a word. I laid next to her and said, "babe, are you okay?" She nodded and said, "perfect."

I could feel her emotions though. And she was crushed. I grabbed her and pulled her onto me. Tears were running down her cheeks. "I'm so sorry, Vanessa," I cracked, "I'm so sorry!" She nodded and laid her head on my chest. "I swear I didn't want to do what I did, I don't know why I did it, but that's no excuse and I know it. But I swear to the moon goddess herself that I will never love another woman, you are everything to me," I rambled. Her tears raked her body now. And she shook with sadness.

But then she bounced up out of my arms and said, "I need to go on a run, please don't follow me." Then she ran out if the room and out of the house, into the woods. And she was stupid as hell if she thought I wouldn't follow. I'll always follow my heart.
