❇️Chapter 48: A Prom Night to Remember Part 1 ❇️

Prom is in a few weeks and everyone is excited for it.

I can hear people talking about it here and there.

Talking about the possible theme, what they're gonna wear, who's taking who to the prom night, the venue and who's going to be prom king and queen this year.

Even my friends, especially the girls, couldn't stop talking about it.

"What do you think the theme is gonna be this year?" Christa asked.

"I heard last batch's theme was 'Hollywood Red Carpet'." Ymir answered.

We're on our way to the gym, for the assembly. Principal Erwin is going to announce the theme and everything we need to know about the preparations for prom.

We entered the gym and we're looking for some seats.

Once we found our seats, we sit down and wait and continue chatting for awhile.

A few minutes have passed and it looks like everyone is here and waiting for the assembly to start.

Vice Principal Elise walks over to the stage and taps the microphone.

"All right, everyone please settle down as we are starting our assembly right now." She spoke.

There was a moment of silence before she starts talking again.

"Thank you. Now without any further ado, I will give the floor to Principal Erwin, who will be giving all the information you need to know for this year's prom. Please give a warm welcome to Principal Erwin Smith."

We clapped as Principal Erwin walks over to the stage.

"Thank you, Vice Principal Elise. Good day everyone. Now, as all of you know that prom is coming in a few weeks and I know all of you are excited. The staff and Student Council had a meeting and we all decided on the theme for this year. The theme is called, 'Enchanted Fairytale Garden'. You can dress however you want as long as it sticks to the theme and please keep in mind with the dress code. Please turn in your Registration form and payment for the prom tickets by the registrar's office. Also, the Student Council suggested an idea - for those who would like to perform a dance number or who would like to sing a song or even perform live music with a band of your own, please approach Miss Jenny and everyone is welcome to sign up. As always, prom will take place here in school and it will start at 6 pm and will end at 11 pm. Please inform your parents and if you have any questions or concerns, please approach any teacher and they will help you out. Oh and for those who will be doing promposals, please keep them small. That's all and have a pleasant day. Thank you students."

We clapped once more.

"Okay, thank you so much, Principal Erwin. You are all dismissed and you may go back to your classrooms. But for those who are part of the Decorating Committee and Student Council, please stay behind and don't worry, you are excused." Vice Principal Elise added.

We got up from our seats and head back to our classrooms.

"Isn't this exciting?" Sasha asked as she linked her arm with mine.

"Yeah, I can't wait." I said.

"Who do you think will take you to prom?" Sasha asked with a smug look on her face.

I shake my head.

"I don't know, Sasha. I'm probably thinking of just going with all of you. But whoever will ask me to be their prom partner, I'll accept it. I just hope it won't bother or hurt other people's feelings."

When Principal Erwin mentioned that anyone is welcome to perform, I've been thinking about doing it.

"Actually, Sasha, could you come with me to the faculty room after school? I need to talk to Miss Jenny about something." I said.

"Sure, of course." She said.

Then we head off to our classroom for first period.

'RIIINNNGGG!'

Classes are over, and Sasha and I are on our way to the faculty room.

"Why do you want to see Miss Jenny?" Sasha asked.

"I'll tell you later." I responded.

We just arrived at the faculty room and all I need is to look for Miss Jenny.

"Please wait for me, Sash. I'll be right back." I said.

"Okay." She said.

I knock on the door before I let myself in.

I greeted the teachers and asked for Miss Jenny.

"Ah, Miss (Y/n), I'm over here." Miss Jenny said, motioned me to walk over to her cubicle.

"I hope I'm not disturbing you, Miss Jenny." I said.

"Don't worry, you're not. So, what can I do for you?"

"Um, Miss Jenny, I was thinking of performing a song on the night of the prom. I know it's a bit early but I just want to let you know." I said.

"Oh okay, it is a bit early but that's fine. You're the first on my list. Besides, everyone is welcome to sign up. Do you have a song in mind already?"

"Not really but when I do, I'll be sure to inform you." I responded.

"Oh, please do. If you like, I could guide you through it so you won't put too much pressure on yourself. So if you need my help, you know where to find me and I'll be happy to help you." She said.

"Really? Thank you, Miss Jenny. And your help will be much appreciated."

After discussing a few things with Miss Jenny, I thanked her and head out.

"I'm back, Sasha." I spoke.

"Oh hey, how did it go?" Sasha asked.

"It was alright." I said.

"So... are you gonna tell me why you decided to see Miss Jenny after school?"

"Well, I was thinking of performing a song on the night of the prom. But I haven't decided on a song yet though." I answered.

"Ooh, really? That would be so cool! You'll do great!" Sasha said. "By the way, Christa texted and she said that everyone is thinking of hanging out right now at the mall. Let's go?"

"Sure, let's go." I said and we're on our way to meet with the others.

Hello there! After a couple of months, I finally updated the first part of the prom chapter! I am so sorry for taking so long to upload a new chapter. I've been dealing with a lot of personal matters and still working on it. I hope you guys are doing well.

We reached the prom chapter and all is left are a couple of chapters then it's finally time to finish this fanfic that I wrote when I started joining Wattpad back in 2017 (or was it 2018?).

I can't believe that I'm gonna end this fanfic soon and it will be a hard goodbye since I enjoy writing this fanfic since day one and I'll finish writing this story this year.

Please look forward to the upcoming chapters and the finale soon!

Also, who's gonna take (Y/n) to prom???
