A month later, Luna and her employees were busy preparing the party for Stella's birthday.
Ben had joined them and quickly noticed that his girlfriend was not feeling well.
She had been looking tired for a few days, suffering from nausea and vomiting, and above all, she was very pale, which seriously worried the botany teacher. He hoped that she did not have cancer or some other invasive disease. There were only two days left before the reception in the royal garden, and he was afraid that his beloved would work too hard and make her condition worse.
For indeed, she wanted everything to be perfect for her darling daughter's eighteenth birthday, she wanted a memorable party, and was very much involved in the preparations.

Suddenly, as she was helping to set up the arbours, a powerful cramp shot through her stomach, spreading to her lower back. She cried out in pain and cowered, her hands resting on her stomach. Immediately, her partner dropped his tools and rushed towards her, racked with worry.

"Luna! Are you nauseous again?!" he exclaimed, wrapping his arm around her waist, on the alert.

"No, I have a cramp in my lower abdomen, it aches a lot," she answered, trying to catch her breath.

He placed his hand tenderly on her cheek, caressing it with infinite gentleness, as was his wont.

"You really should call the doctor, sweetheart, because this is not normal," he murmured, moving closer to her. "Besides, you're so pale."

"No, Ben, if I call the doctor or go to the hospital, they're going to keep me for observation and I won't be there for Stella," she refused, shaking her head, still wincing in pain.

Her hand was resting on that stomach that was aching so much, and the man she loved added his own, hoping she would feel better.

"All right, but then, come and rest in your room, I don't want to have to force you to the hospital."

She nodded and agreed to leave her staff to work alone and go lie down on her bed. Ben took the opportunity to serve her a glass of water and a slice of bread and some yoghurt so that she could regain her strength.

As she was lying on her bed, the fairy wondered what she was suffering from. The symptoms had appeared a few days before, often nausea, vomiting, or cramps in the lower abdomen. She was feeling unusually tired, and had noticed that she needed to urinate more often, and that her chest was tighter than usual...as it had been at the beginning of her pregnancy almost nineteen years earlier. Could she be pregnant again at her age?
She refused to believe it, she was almost fifty, and the chances of getting pregnant at that age are almost zero.
No, she probably had something else, some disease that had just broken out. But for now, she didn't want to call her GP and panic Ben, or tell him about a potential pregnancy. She would ask one of her employees to go and buy her a pregnancy test at the pharmacy so that she could totally rule out this possibility.

She eventually fell asleep and woke up three hours later feeling a little more refreshed.
When she turned her head towards the armchair, she saw that Ben had brought her dinner. She easily guessed that if he had not entered the room, she would not have woken up.
When he saw that she had opened her eyes, he got up to sit on the bed and take her hand in concern.

"How are you feeling, my blossom?" he asked in a soft voice.

She smiled, aware of how lucky she was to have such a caring man in her life.

"Better, the pain is gone, and I have a little more energy," she reassured him. "Thank you, my love."

He picked the tray with a huge plate full of pasta set on it and placed it on the bed.

"The cook has prepared tagliatelle with chicken, cream, cheese, and vegetables, with a fruit salad for dessert, I hope you like it."

The queen grabbed her cutlery and inhaled the appetising smell of the mouth-watering dish.

"I love pasta, but I'd especially like to eat it with you," she confessed, staring lovingly at him.

In turn, he grabbed a fork and knife and winked at her, showing that he had it all planned.

"That's why I put this much on the plate."

They began to enjoy their dinner, quite happy that Andreas wasn't around to annoy them. Ben had managed to run into him as little as possible in Alfea, and Luna saw him less. Unfortunately, knowing that Stella was quite attached to the Specialist, she had still invited him to the reception, which was bothering the botany professor, who didn't particularly want to see him. However, he preferred to keep quiet so as not to spoil his precious moments with his beloved.
Like this one, in fact. They had just put the same tagliatelle in their mouths, and sucked it until their lips were sealed. Under his unexpected kiss, Luna shivered. Ben was so romantic, and always so sweet and caring, she couldn't have wished for more.
After dinner, they continued their cuddling session, enjoying the evening together.

"Shall we take a shower together?" he offered, his lips just inches from the fairy's, whose eyes lit up.

Now, taking a shower in the company of her lover had become a very pleasant and sensual moment, as she almost forgot the scars left by the fire.
In his arms, naked, she felt like any other woman, as if nothing had happened. She felt desirable in the eyes of the man she was in love with, and he returned the favour. She could no longer complain about the lack of affection linked to the void left by her husband when he was murdered.

Once undressed, the two lovers entered the Italian shower, letting themselves be lulled by the drops of hot water that was flowing over their bodies entwined, their hearts beating in harmony, without knowing that, under this shower, there were not two but three of them. The two fairies and the baby growing in Luna's womb.
