Ash.
She sat at the table across from Harry. She played with her food mostly, taking small bites of what she did eat. She usually didn't eat too much after work. Plus the fact that Harry looked stunning- which made her stomach churn even more than going on their not-date -didn't help.
Her eyes keep flickering to his exposed chest, the small bits of tattoos showing. Harry didn't seem like one to have tattoos. His constant rambling had her looking off to random spots in the restaurant, only to find her eyes going back to his chest.
"Wine?" Harry asks just as the water arrives. She shakes her head quickly, sticking her hand out as a nice gesture. She notices him glancing at her bruised wrist.
"Oh, no. I would like water, please."
The waiter writes it down as Harry watches her curiously. Once the waiter was gone, he rose an eyebrow. She smiles politely but chose not to say a word. She knew Harry would make fun of her, as he usually does.
"Why are you skipping out on wine?" He asks quietly. She knew he'd ask, but she didn't want to answer. She smiles a small smile, her fingers playing with her cloth napkin.
"I don't drink in public," she says. It's so quiet he can barely catch onto the words. She almost wishes he hadn't heard her, but then she'd have to go the the embarrassment twice by repeating herself.
He chuckles lightly, making sure not to comment on it. "What do you do in your free time?" He asks, switching subjects.
She bites her lip, shrugging. Harry's larger hand reaches out to grab hers. She jumps slightly, letting him pull their intertwined hands to the middle of the table. "I'm- I- I don't think this is working," she mutters quickly.
Harry rose an eyebrow while tightening the grip on her hand slightly. "What do you mean?" He asks.
"Well, I'm not interested. And even if I was, there's no way I can date you, Harry. By the way, this is not a date," she says in serious tone but it only sounds sympathetic. She retracts her arm, removing her hand from hit.
"Ashton-"
"It's just Ash," she begs. She hates to be called by her full name. Harry never catches on, though. He sighs a bit, letting out a frustrated grunt also.
"Ash, I don't know what you think I'm going for, but I'm only being nice. This is apologizing for something I did," he gestures to the restaurant.
She sighs, "So we can both agree that this is not a date?" She wants to reassure herself more than anything. Harry thinks she's acting weird, but she has her reasons.
"This is not a date," he confirms. Although, he'd be lying if he said he wasn't going to try his best to make it feel like one.

I feel like this is a good stopping point, yeah? This is NOT edited. Loll too lazy for that. It's early and I can't sleep. Maybe another update this weekend? I don't know I have a ton of homework.
