Louis.

The two had more in common than they had thought. They'd become best friends over night. Who knew a bottle of liquor and heartbreak could bring them together. That next morning Louis wasted no time leaving. He helped her clean up and they sat together in silence for twenty minutes because of their headaches. After bumming some aspirin and a water he headed over to Harry's.

He wasn't planning on telling Harry anything that Ashton had previously told him, though he doesn't remember much of the night before. When he arrives, Harry opens the door half-naked and freshly showered. Louis raises an eyebrow, "You're going into work today?"

Harry nods. Louis purses his lips. He thinks things over as he narrows his eyes at Harry. "I was planning on coming over here to steal your food and sleep away this awful, awful hangover today. But, I didn't know you were leaving."

"It's fine, you can stay while I'm gone if you want," Harry offers. He wouldn't mind a bit if Louis stayed. They were best friends and all.

Or so he thought.

"Well, I'll just go home," he mumbles. Harry nods and just when he thinks Louis is leaving he adds, "But, I want you to know where I was last night. I went to Ashton's. We had a heart-to-heart, if you will." He stops talking for a brief moment. "She's heartbroken Harry. She's the best person I've ever met. I can relate to her, and if I'm honest, I'm on her side. You had your reasons but you're fucking wrong. You go into work today," he pushes his small finger into Harry's chest. "You go to work and you say absolutely nothing to her. If I get a phone call-- a text even that something has happened, your ass will be kicked at your fancy corporation or whatever the hell it is. Are we clear?"

Harry nods shamefully, not uttering a word. He watches Louis as he removes his finger from his chest and raises his eyebrows, "Now, go get me some of your cookies."

Ashton.

She walked into work that day with an overall confidence. Her entire body felt like shit, but she wouldn't let that put her down. As she makes her way to her office, ignoring all of the unnecessary chatter, she bumps into a very large person. She's just about positive it's Dan because Dan isn't allowed on this floor but he creeps up occasionally and always gets caught by bumping into her.

When she looks up with a scowl, she sees a very familiar face. Her breath hitches and his does also. They stare at each other for what seems like a very long time. It's almost like everything's in slow motion from then on. He mutters out a small, "Hi."

She doesn't reply. Instead, she turns around and walks back to her office. She shuts the door quickly staring at as if she were terrified he'd walk in, though it seems like it took forever to close it. She can't breathe. It's like all of her oxygen supply is cut off. She backs up slowly, trying her best to find air. Any air, something.

Her butt knocks a stack of papers into floor from her desk and the sound causes her to whip her head in that direction as if someone could be there. Instinctively her small hands claw at her throat. It feels as if someone is choking the life out of her.

Tears begin to fall freely down her face. She slowly slides down the front of her desk and into the floor, using her desk as a support. A loud sob escapes and then she can breathe again. Her whole body trembles as she lets out her sobs and cries trying her best not to be loud because she couldn't imagine the embarrassment of someone finding her like this.

Moments later when she calms a bit, she calls Louis and apologizes for waking him. She explains to him what happened because she's afraid. He promises to be there as fast as he can with her make up bag and hair products because she doesn't need anyone to find out and she doesn't have anyone else to rely on.
