Harry.

The tension was unbearable, but Ashton couldn't see it. She was so beautiful, he couldn't take his eyes off of her. Marisa was a pretty girl, but Ashton was so much prettier. He had this feeling in the pit of his stomach telling him that this night was destined to be wrecked. He kept giving Marisa looks and she was sending mixed signals as they all gathered in the living room to watch a movie.

Harry was sat alone in the floor, back propped up against the coffee table. The two girls were paired up on the couch under a small throw blanket. Ashton had asked multiple times if Harry needed a blanket, but he didn't take it.

Even though the movie was playing the two girls gossip about things they hadn't caught up on. It was mostly just Marisa rambling and rambling about the men she had recently been with at the office. It was a strange feeling he got when Ashton had admitted that a man named Mark was attractive. Harry's face broke into a small blush and he couldn't wipe the frown off of his face.

He hated listening to their conversation when he was pretending to watch the movie, but he learned more and more about her.

"I'm going to get some ice cream, Harry want some?" Ash asks, standing up and stretching. A small sliver of skin across her stomach was set on display for about a second. Harry gulped, shaking his head. She leaves the room.

"I haven't- She doesn't know," Harry blurts quietly. He looks almost scared or lost, like this is the most important thing in the world.  More sweat begins to build up and his weird jealous feeling hasn't completely faded. Overall, he's completely flustered.

"Just don't tell her, it's no big deal. Harry, everyone gossips," she replies casually.

No one gossips the way you do, Harry thought. He sighs shakily, turning back to the television. Ashton returns with two spoons and a small tub of ice cream.

"Harry, I'm hungry," she whines pathetically.

A beautiful grin breaks out onto his face. His heart clenches at the sweet sound of her voice beckoning him. For a moment, he begins to think all of the small scenarios in his head have became true. He feels almost like they're in a relationship just from her tone of voice. It's heartbreaking, really.

"Come show me the pantry," he replies casually, although inside he was crying like a schoolgirl. He longed so bad to be with this girl. He  wanted to see her on her best days and her worst. He wanted to show her off at important staff meetings and galas. He wanted her, and her only.

She smiles slightly, taking a bite of ice cream. She crams the spoon into the ice cream and stands. "I'll be right back," she mutters to Marisa. She only smiled up at Ashton in reply. Once Harry stands, the small girl takes him into the kitchen, showing him the cabinets of food.

Her mood had lightened a lot since Marisa arrived. Everyone needed their friends, he guessed. He was distracted by her the entire time and all he could wonder was why this beautiful girl was so broken. Why had someone treated her bad? She was perfect in his eyes. Her flaws were invisible and it drove him insane.

"Ashton, can I ask you something?"

"Of course," she replies. Her small hands are wrapped around cans, her eyes focused on the product.

"Why didn't you kiss me the other night?"

She freezes, her eyes shifting to the wall ahead of her. A shaky breath leaves her mouth and her eyes slowly travel over to Harry's.  "I-" She shakes her head a little, "I wasn't ready."

"You looked like I scared you, I didn't want to scare you," he mumbles sheepishly. "I can't control myself when I'm with you. It's a weird feeling that's new to me."

A small smile breaks onto her face but she looks down, hoping he couldn't see it. He sees it, and her red cheeks. Her eyes scan the cans once more before she sits them on the counter. She looks back up at Harry bashfully. "Well, I'm glad your egotistical-self decided to hide and bring out the sweet Harry," she replies.

He grins cheekily, cupping her cheek. "Ashton, I really like you. I've never even bothered to care for a girl like I do you. I don't know what it is about you that draws me in. Its just you," he whispers.

She smiles weakly, leaning into his palm and closing her eyes. She loved how smooth and rough his hands could be at the same time. She loved skin to skin contact. He watched as the beautiful girl placed her hand over his and pressed her cheek closer to his palm.

He was in complete euphoria just by watching her be her. She opens her eyes to glance up at Harry. Their eyes lock and he has this feeling in his stomach. That warm feeling he had the day he ordered her to fix his files and she asked for his help. The warm feeling you get when you drink hot chocolate during the winter. She calms him, she warms him.

He bent forward, leaning closer and closer towards her face. She had an unreadable expression on her face, but Harry knew she was afraid. He leans in as slow as possible, his heart speeding up so quick he thought he was having a heart attack.

She breathes shaky breaths, trying not to seem so afraid. Could she do this? Could she open up to another man? It's just a kiss, Ashton. Shut up and kiss this gorgeous boy. Slowly, she climbs onto her tiptoes.

Harry finally brushes his soft lips against hers, almost as if asking for permission. She kisses him gently, as if he'd break. Her right hand rests on his chest lightly, the other on his bicep.

Emotions hit her left and right, her heart breaking over and over again. She had feelings for Harry. Even though she won't soberly admit them, she knew she was in deep shit. She let herself go, again.

Tears stream freely down her face as their lips work against each other. Passion practically drenched the couple in the kitchen. They wanted each other. Whatever this was, it definitely wasn't a professional relationship; it definitely wasn't happening during work hours.

1074 words NOT including a/n. ugh I kinda like the way they kissed but idk. I felt like maybe it wasn't as cliche as other fics. And yes, she cried bc it is kinda emotional for her to start a new relationship with someone when she just got out of a horrible one. And  keep in mind she is immature still, bc her relationship with nick wasn't exactly real considering how he treated her. She's not exactly sure what to expect out of a relationship.
