the twins walk side by side behind principal weems, both stone faced. "i've separated you two in hopes that it will help you... assimilate more smoothly. midnight, first we have your dorm" weems smiles, leading the family into the room. a tall, pale girl with brunette hair sits inside, glasses covering her eyes. "sup" the girl says, nodding her head. "midnight, this is yoko tanaka, your new roommate!" weems exclaims, pointing to the room. "hello" midnight states, somewhat expressionless.

"now, i'm going to take wednesday to meet her roommate. i've special ordered you two girls uniforms. yoko, please take midnight to the registrars office to pick it up along with her schedule. and please, give her a tour darling" weems smiles, turning away. midnight offers her parents a final glare before sharing a quick glance with her sister, following her roommate out of the space.

"i won't bore you with all the nevermore crap. honestly, it's just a place with a lot of different outcasts. mostly furs, stoners, fangs, and scales, but we've got it all" yoko states. "what does that make you?" "i'm a vampire. hence the shades" the girl admits, offering a little chuckle. "interesting" midnight mumbles.

"so, question. rumor has it that you and your sister killed some kid at your old school and that's how you ended up here" yoko questions. "technically two, but who's counting?" "i think i'm gonna like you addams" the vampire smirks, unable to compose her emotion. they head out to the quad, midnight beginning to look around.

"as you can likely see, the four cliques make themselves pretty clear. the fangs: vampires, the furs: werewolves, the stones: gorgons, and the scales: sirens" yoko states, pointing out each group. as midnight looks around the courtyard, her gaze falls on one girl in particular, her eyes a piercing blue. "that's bianca barclay. basically our regina george" she adds. "who?" midnight questions, a furrow in her brows.

"regina george? like, mean girls?" yoko questions. midnight shrugs her shoulder, yoko softly rolling her eyes. "anyways, she's the queen bee. used to date our resident tortured artist, xavier thorpe, but they fell apart beginning of the semester. who knows why?" she adds.

as the name rings through her ears, she looks to the boy. his gaze seemed to already be fixed on her, his attention drawn away from a mural he had been completing. "enlightening stuff" midnight states, her attention locked on the thorpe boy. she recognized that name, but just couldn't remember how.

"look, i'd assume that's your twin and her new roommate. enid sinclair. she's a sweet girl but pretty... colorful in contrast. and here they come!" yoko narrates. "how do you come to such advanced conclusions?" midnight questions, her voice more monotone than usual. "the addams can joke!" yoko teased, midnight widening her eyes as her sister approached.

"hi! i'm enid and i'm guessing your midnight! i love your hair, it rocks" a small blonde girl exclaims, pointing to the blue locks on midnights head. midnight merely stared at the girl, barely nodding her head. "so sister, have you heard the latest rumor? apparently we've upgraded from murderers to cannibals" wednesday states, smirking.

"oh how this school flatters us" midnight adds, offering her sister a stiff high five. "you guys look so similar, it's crazy. well, minus the hair color" yoko states, focused on the twins. "that's half of the fun" wednesday smirks. "well, let's get you two changed into your uniforms! midnight, you can change in our dorm, it's closer" enid declares. "by a whole ten feet" wednesday deadpans, enid offering a glare.

the girls begin to leave the quad, midnight offering xavier a final glance. they travel upstairs to the room, midnight staring in awe as the door opens. "wow sis, love what you did with the place. very you" midnight states, offering a cynical smirk to her twin. "very funny. i still know where you sleep" wednesday warns, midnight rolling her eyes. yoko and enid look at each other with slight confusion, following the twins in.

soon enough the twins had changed into their uniforms, heading down to the courtyard to say goodbye to their parents. "look at my little deathtrap's. seeing you two in this uniform brings back so many terrible memories, doesn't it tish?" gomez blurts. "yes. why don't you boys wait in the car? the girls and i need a moment."

gomez offers a sad sigh, giving the girls one last hug before heading to the car. next comes pugsley, tackling wednesday in a hug before doing the same to midnight, holding his favored sister a bit tighter. "pugsley, you're soft and weak. you'll never survive without us. i give you two months, tops" wednesday states.

"ignore her pugs. trust me, i'll miss our days of torture. just promise you'll carry on my legacy of chaos in the house. we cannot give mother and father a break" midnight adds, squeezing the young boy as a soft smile tugs at her lips. "of course. i'll miss you guys" he sighs, finishing his hug with midnight.

although she would never admit it, midnight had a huge soft spot for her brother. ever since he was born, somehow the little boy had become one of her few weaknesses. as she considers her thoughts, the girl ruffles her brothers hair. "give them hell pugsley" midnight whispers, patting his head as he walks away.

suddenly, the two girls were left standing before their mother. "any plans you two have of running away end right now. i've alerted all family members to contact me the minute you darken their doorstep. you have nowhere to go" morticia warns.

"as usual, you underestimate us, mother. we will escape this educational penitentiary, and you will never hear from us again" wednesday declares, crossing her arms. "you are a brilliant girl, wednesday, but sometimes you get in your own way. and midnight, you let her get in your way too."

for a moment, silence spreads as the three addams women stand there. "i'm sure you two will grow to love nevermore, and find it as life changing as i did. and, i got you a little something" morticia states, first pulling out a necklace for wednesday.

"w, m. our initials. it's made of obsidian, which aztec priests use to conjure visions. it's a symbol of our connection" morticia states, handing the girl the necklace. "which one or your spirits suggest this toe-checking tchotchke? i am not you mother. i will never fall in love, or be a housewife, or have a family."

"i'm told girls your age say hurtful things, and i shouldn't take it to the heart" morticia mumbles, looking to the side for a moment. "fortunately, you don't have one" wednesday states. "finally a kind word for your mother" morticia smiles.

"now midnight, for you a hypersthene pendant. it calms the mind of the wearer, and improves the ability to solve problems. i even had it wrapped with small stars and a moon because i know how much you love dusk. it too symbolizes our connection" morticia states.

"thank you mother. it's absolutely dreadful" midnight declares with a small smile crossing her lips, looking up at her mom. "always too kind for your own good, midnight" morticia smiles, focusing on midnight for a moment.

morticia suddenly turns around, looking to the car. "lurch, the crystal ball please" morticia states, lurch quickly handing her a bag before returning to the car side. "now, we can't talk to you for the first week while you're settling in, so we'll call you girls next sunday" she adds.

for a moment morticia looks at the girls, a soft smile on her face as she takes in their appearance. without a word, the woman turns around and enters the car, offering one last look to her twins before lurch shuts the door. "who knew we were the pillars of the family?" midnight states, looking to her twin. "it only makes sense" wednesday declares, the girls watching as the car passed into the distance.
