the twins approach the festival with their roommates, immediately taken aback by the mass of students and the bright carnival lights. "are you sure you can trust that normie?" enid questions, looking to her roommate. the group of girls watch as tyler argues with his father, midnight and yoko silent.

"i trust that we can handle ourselves" wednesday declares. midnight tries to focus on on the sheriff and his son, curious as to why the older man was so opposed to the twins. "well, good luck and safe travels" enid says, beginning to say goodbye to wednesday as she reaches out for a hug.

"still not a hugger, got it" enid adds, walking away with a laugh. "well addams, i'll miss you. don't lose yourself, ok? i genuinely think you're pretty cool" yoko blurts, offering her roommate a soft smile. "you too tanaka" midnight replies, returning a microscopic smile to the girl.

as both of their roommates head away, the addams twins notice weems watching them. midnight turns her back to the woman so she can roll her eyes, giving her sister a wide eyed expression.

"seems like our plan might be easier said than done. let's split up. you go off and figure things out, i'll blend in" midnight declares, wednesday nodding in agreement as the girls split. although she had easily agreed to wednesday's plan, midnight was a bit sad to be leaving nevermore so soon.

rather than get sentimental, the girl heads over to the games to blow of some steam. she find the dart stand, swiftly popping all the balloons without a single miss. "jeez, you get any better at this you'll be taking home a whole... pack" xavier blurts, the addams girl quickly looking up at him.

"i'm going for more of an army, but your enthusiasm is appreciated" midnight jokes, looking down for a moment. "you should know i'm leaving" the girl adds. "what, when?" xavier questions. "tonight. wednesday whipped up a plan to escape, so, off we go."

"i see" xavier mumbles, looking away for a moment. "thank you" midnight blurts, finally bringing her full attention to the boy as she hands him the stuffed panda she had won. the boy tentatively accepts it, looking to the dark mannered girl.

"for?" he questions. "saving me. i never gave you true gratitude" the girl states, a small smile crossing xavier's lips. "it was my pleasure" he assures, bumping her arm softly. suddenly wednesday and tyler appear, xavier turning with a suddenly irritated glance.

"didn't mean to interrupt. midnight, can we steal you?" tyler blurts as he stands behind midnight, him and wednesday side-by-side. "you're not" xavier spits, offering midnight one final glance before suddenly pushing between the trio. "xavier" midnight begins, but the boy was already entering the crowd.

midnight glares at her twin, but wednesday was too focused on tyler to take notice. "this is gonna be trickier than i thought. dad hit me with a curfew. we need to go if i'm gonna make it back in time" tyler declares.

"we've got some dead weight we need to lose first. meet us behind the parking lot when the fireworks start" wednesday states, looking to her twin and then tyler. the boy quickly scurries away, midnight turning to wednesday.

"weems is your issue right now. i have other business i need to attend to before we go" midnight blurts. "seriously? don't tell me you are going after that troubled artist, sister. a crush has never looked good on you" wednesday sighs. "it's not your business wednesday. i'll be there when the fireworks start, ok? ciao."

midnight runs after xavier, quickly finding the boy. "xavier" she mumbles, somewhat breathless. "what do you want? i figured tyler already swept you two off" xavier sighs. "listen, i don't have much time i just... i didn't want to leave things on a bad note. i enjoy bad things but... i don't know. you're cool xavier. i hate a lot of people, but i kind of like you" midnight admits, the sound of fireworks beginning to sound.
