In the very beginning there was one. This one was known only as Primal. Then Primal was joined by two more, Alpha and Beta. Together the 3 Created all the known worlds, universes, and life as we know it.
The day came when the 3 were ready to create...
For two years we lived together peacefully. Finn treated me with nothing but kindness and respect. He became a true friend and companion to me. I tried to find his soul mate for him but when nothing showed I told him it seemed they were not born yet. He thanked me for trying. He in return tried to find out how his brothers felt but they still only saw me as a friend nothing more. Slowly it began to break my heart more. My only solace was Finn and Kol.
What none of us knew was the absolute fury that was building in one person over the whole thing. Esther for years had harbored resentment over the favoritism that Mikael showed me over their own children. For years the anger that her former lover seemed to prefer me to their son, even if he could not acknowledge him, fueled her growing rage. For years the pride that Ayana showed as having me as a student over Esther herself and even Esther's children just added more fuel to the fire. But it was my marriage to Finn that lit the flame. She hated me with a passion and I had not even spoken to the woman. Her anger that I was given her favorite son is was caused her to betray all of us. She thought she had rid me from ever having any of her children in marriage when she bound both Elijah and Niklaus' soul bonds and spelled them to never see me as more then a friend, to never love me. But no Mikael had to ignore her wishes and give me Finn. She didn't know it was in name only. Only Finn, Kol, Ansel, Ayana, Mikael and myself did. She thought her son was wasted on me and I had not even had the decency to give him a child. It was these reasons that a month after my 17th birthday, Esther sought out a hunter from another village. She had heard he was extremely skilled. She paid him to find the white wolf on the full moon and kill it. So that full moon I lay near the pack. Resting after our hunt.

The full moon shown down upon me illuminating my fur. The hunter almost decided against his actions. But he went through with it. He released the arrow. It hit my side and went straight to my heart. I let out a heart wrenching howl as I died. The hunter moved to claim my body when he didn't see the others near me anymore. The wolves attacked the moment he got near. They tore him apart. Then they crowded around my body and howled.
Everyone gathered in the caves shivered in fear and sadness at the sound. My mates frowned. Mikael and Ayana knew that meant someone in the pack died. Finn stood with Kol. When he saw the tears in his brother's eyes he asked Kol what was wrong. "It's Selene I felt it."he said softly, but Ayana and Mikael heard they looked at each other scared. They prayed it was not her. The gods would not be forgiving.
The moment dawn hit the four rushed out. Niklaus and Elijah stayed to help Esther not knowing or feeling what had happened. They ran to the meadow and arrived as Ansel pulled the arrow from my chest. They saw the dead man and Mikael demanded, "What happened?" "A hunter. He shot her from across the meadow. He was a skilled one. Came down wind and silent steps. We had no warning until she was hit. The pack tore him apart when he came to claim her body." He replied running his hands through my fur. Finn held his younger brother close. When Ansel looked at him, Finn explained, "He felt her death. We prayed he felt wrong." Ansel frowned, "Where are Niklaus and Elijah?" "With Esther still they did not feel anything. Something is wrong with the bond." Ayana announced.," Even human they should feel it by now." "We need to prepare to mourn her." Mikael said softly with tears in his eyes. He felt like he had lost another daughter all over again.
Just then Alpha and Beta showed. The five of them knelt before them. "She will wake soon. We are giving her another chance to live. Protect her better. Do not fail us." They spoke in unison. They didn't tell them that I was waking immortal. That I would have anyway. They didn't tell them this was a test for them as well. Unfortunately I would now be frozen at this age. They then disappeared. I shifted to my human form while still unconscious Finn placed his cloak on me. I rarely shifted with my clothes on when with the pack. I didn't loose mine like they would but it made me feel a bit more like them to do it this way. He sat by my head and held my head in his lap running his fingers through my hair. Suddenly I sat up with a gasp and looked around panicked. Ayana and Finn worked to calm me. When I was calm they explained what happened. Alpha and Beta had visited my mind before waking. They told me nothing could kill me now unless I was ready to create another to replace me. Until then I was a truly immortal being. They did tell me I should not tell the others as they would fail their own test if they knew. I asked about the bond with my mates. They said it is there, but they can not interfere. Finn helped me home carrying me then after Mikael scolded me not to scare him. Kol came with us. They helped me to my room and I got dressed. Then they came back and helped me to the main room. Finn got me some food. I smiled to him. In the two years we had been wed his loving care and ways with me brought us as close as two friends could be. I loved him as well. It may not be what I felt for Niklaus or Elijah but there was love there. Kol hovered as well. After I eat we all sat in front of the fire together. Holding one another and offering comfort.
