Queen's Landing
Westeros
Selene's POV:

In 278 AC after the Great Tourney at Harrenhal both Rhaegar and Elia came to the three of us excited.
"Calm yourselves calm." I chuckled as they both talked over one another.
They took a breathe then Rhaegar spoke. "I found her. I found the one I want."
I smiled to him, "You are sure?"
"Yes my queen I am."
"Who is she?"
"Lyanna Stark."
I nodded, "I will go meet her father and see what I can do. If he agrees I will dissolve the marriage and Elia may return home. Then you will need to wait at least a year before you may marry. Is this understood?"
"Yes my queen." They both said I chuckled and stood.
"I will leave in a day. The year ends soon by the new year you will both have the answer."

A day later Valyria accompanied me to the North. We flew our dragons as I was not spending a month on the road. We arrived after two days flight.
Landing our dragons shrunk and were on our shoulders. We approached Winterfell and were greeted by Lord Rickard Stark and his three children. I heard Valyria gasp and looked as she stared at the youngest son I smiled, my daughter had found her mate.
The four of them knelt to me along with the people behind them.
"My Queen welcome to Winterfell. How may House Stark help you?"
I smiled, "Rise Lord Stark come we have much to discuss. I am here about two of your children it seems."
He escorted me to his study while Valyria stayed with the siblings.
"You said two of my children my queen?" He asked as I sat.
"Yes it seems my ward Rhaegar wishes to marry your daughter and my daughter found her mate in your son."
He blinked. "I thought Rhaegar was already wed?"
"He is but if an agreement can be met then it will be dissolved and Elia is finally free to return to Dorne and Rhaegar to marry for love. Neither wished their marriage it was simply something their father and brother decided. They wed to keep the peace and in name only."
He nodded, "Which son, because my oldest is already promised to another?"
"The youngest. For us to find our mates means more then you can know. I want my daughter happy. I do not get to be with my soul mates. So if I can make it happen for my children I will."
"Why can you not be? I am sorry that was wrong of me to ask."
"No you are fine. They are not in this realm and they did not seem to feel the bond. I had to wed their older brother for protection. I had been kidnapped and they wished to force me to wed so it was decided I needed to wed to be protected. For Finn and I it started out as in name only. It was only later that he became a chosen mate and love came.  I still long for my mates but I will not force a bond."
"I am sorry my Queen. I am happy to agree to both but I need to speak to my children first. Would you care to enjoy our hospitality while we discuss this over the next day or so?"
"Thank you Lord Stark. "

A week later I left with both Stark children. We returned to Queen's Landing. The Starks would join us in a month for the wedding of Eddard and Valyria. Then stay until Rhaegar and Lyanna wed.

279 AC:

My daughter wed Eddard Stark and he took the Mikaelson last name. Before the end of the year they welcomed their first son and my first grandchild Robb.

280 AC:

Aerys showed his madness finally. He threatened to kill his wife and unborn child. I went and dealt with him. I killed him Quickly. He was a Targaryen and deserved a quick death. Then to honor him we had Nox and Nyx burn his body.

I decided that year to change my small council. I kept Lord VARYS and did away with the rest. Rhaegar became Hand of the Queen. Tyrion at 15 was placed on the council as well his sharp mind made him an asset. I added Oleana Tyrell as well. The woman was perfect for the task. I found a captain by the name of Davos Seaworth as well. Along with my daughter and son.
Then I found a young knight that had been cruelly burned by his brother as a child. I healed his face and named him my guard. He was perhaps one of my list loyal people.
