🌒Part 3: Her Original Life🌘

1002 A.D.
Mystic Falls.
Realm 1
Selene's POV:

We stepped out of the portal into the realm we had been born into. It saddened me to see the village we lived in, in ruins. I sighed.
"What year is it do you think?" Asked Kol as he looked around.
"It is a year after we originally left."
He turned to me and grinned, "You mean I am finally older then Niklaus and Elijah?"
We laughed hearing him.
Finn sighed, "Yes Brother you are officially older.....then dirt."
"Hey!" He shouted back.
Merak stepped beside me, "My Queen which of these...homes shall we stay in so I may get it ready?" He wrinkled his nose looking at the ruins.
I laughed, "None Merak. Everyone to the Meadow I am going to remove what is here and build us a home."
They all hurried to the side, Obara and Nymeria were excited to see me do this as they had heard the tales from Valyria.
I waved my hand and everything that was in the village crumbled to dust. I then knelt and sent my magic into the earth. Soon the ground groaned and rumbled as the House forced it's way from the ground. A combination of stone and wood growing together with glass in the windows.

It was 3 stories 2 above ground and 1 below. There was a stable to the side of it as well. The underground was three times the size of the above ground. It connected to a large cavern for the dragons to live. I had spelled them to look like lizards on our shoulders if any mundane saw them. They would stay mainly in the cavern though as it connected to Eternal Twilight which gave them room to explore and fly free.
There was also a large underground field and gardens that received sunlight from a magical sun. It allowed us to grow food year round. I grew fields and an orchard next to the house and then had a pasture and barn grow for our animals.
The girls loved it and cheered. I laughed at their joy.

While we all chose to stay here in Mystic Falls for now Kol decided he wanted to travel and see if he could find his other siblings. I made him leave Loki. I didn't need him burning Nik or Elijah. Obara chose to go with him. Her dragon stayed as well. They packed their things and I gave them plenty of gold. I hugged them tightly and made Kol swear to watch out for Obara. He promised me. They both then left. Now it was just Finn, Oberyn, Nymeria, Merak and myself left here.

After a year Ayana came to the village. She frowned looking around. She saw nothing. I had hidden our home to protect us. I stepped past the wards and smiled to her,  "Hello Ayana."
She smiled, "Oh my dear child I have missed you! 2 years was too long."
I hugged her even as I laughed, "For you it has been two years. For us it has been 6,307 years."
She looked at me shocked, "Truly?"
"Truly."
"Mother who is this?" Asked Nymeria as she joined us.
"Nymeria my daughter and youngest meet Ayana the witch who raised me."
Ayana looked shocked again.
Nymeria came over and hugged her. "It is good to finally meet you Ayana."
Just then Finn and Oberyn joined us.
"Daughter?" Ayana asked.
I nodded yes she is the youngest. My two oldest still live in the other Realm and rule in my place along with my adopted children and grandchildren . my other daughter that came with us to this realm is traveling with Kol. Oh and this is Oberyn. He is Fin's soul mate and my second chosen husband."
"A pleasure Madam Ayana." Oberyn said kissing her hand.
"I obviously missed much, we have a lot to catch up on." said Ayana.
And that's what we did I brought her into our home and we told her everything that happened in the other realm. She was amazed by it.she also told us all that happened after we left. Ansel's death, Niklaus' curse, Tatia and Esther's deaths. She stayed with us for a week. Before she left she warned me to place a block on us if I didn't want other witches to track us or help the others find us before we were ready. She said they would have felt us return like she had.

We thanked her and I spelled us to not be tracked by any that was not of us 5 and Merak.

The next 50 years we stayed here. Then we decided to travel and explore the new world ourselves. Merak would remain here to mind the home. We had a portal connected here anytime we needed. We each carried only one extended and lightweight bag. As well as I had a pouch that connected to my vault.

By 1200 AD we had explored all of North and South America. We found many treasures and rare plants and animals. Some of each were sent home. The animals were sent to Eternal Twilight and the plants were placed in the underground gardens to grow.
We had not heard much from Kol and Obara. They were still looking and Kol was making witch connections. He had begun sending copied grimoires to us and we stored them in the underground library. Like the vault the underground would move with us.
He also sent lots of artifacts and treasures.
By 1300 we agreed to meet in England and then travel East and explore as a family.

3rd POV:
What Ayana had said was true. The moment they reappeared in the realm, every Mikaelson felt it.

When Mikael felt it he immediately stopped looking for Niklaus and began to search for Selene. He had missed his daughter. He wanted to explain everything to her. Even new things he had learned. But every witch failed him in helping to find her. So he would head back to where it all began and start his search from there

It was the same for Niklaus and Elijah. Their hearts filled with an even more intense longing. It had been to long. They needed to see her. They needed her back. They needed to touch her and breathe in her scent. They needed her love and touch , the sound of her voice. But as the witches failed them Nik grew angry and killed them when they failed. Even Elijah had trouble calming his own anger needing her. The two brothers were in agreement finding her is what mattered, nothing else did.
