🌒Chapter 5: Originals🌘

1001 A.D.
Mystic Falls
Realm 1
Selene's POV:

I had not spoken to Niklaus nor Elijah since that day. I could not bring myself to. Kol and Finn were my constant companions. By summer's end of 1001 A.D. both brothers were sick of hearing about Tatia from there brothers as it was all they spoke of. They began to stay more with me.
At the end of June two things came about. First being that I was with child. Finn and I were happy. Only Kol knew. We wanted to wait till I was further along to tell the others. Though Ansel figured it out as well. He promised not to tell anyone yet. I was only two months along and we wanted to wait till I reached four months first.
Then the second. A heart breaking event. Because I was with child I stayed in our home instead of running with the wolves for now. Alpha and Beta told me to wait until I was at least 3 months before shifting again while pregnant. Though because I was at home I could not be there to stop the other newer wolf from attacking and killing Henrik.
I was gotten from the hut too late. His spirit had already left. There was nothing I could do. Mikael thanked me for trying at least. Esther blamed me for his death. It didn't matter that she knew I had been ill and in my cottage. Finn took me home and comforted me while I comforted him and Kol who joined us. Niklaus lashed out when I tried to go to him. Elijah comforted his brother instead along with Rebekah.

Mikael refused to talk to Ansel after. He and Esther decided they needed to save their remaining children. They went to Ayana and begged her. She refused. When Mikael asked if I would know how to help, Ayana told him not to ask. It would upset the balance of things and if I did that Alpha and Beta would be angry. She just hopped he would drop the whole thing after she said that. She didn't know that I could have done it without consequence. After all I was Nature and Balance. If I decided it was allowed it would be.

Instead Esther was tasked with coming up with the solution. When he mentioned to her I was to be included she refused and called me an abomination. He grabbed her by the neck and held her to the wall.
"She is not an abomination. She is a gift from the gods. I was tasked with her care and protection. I have failed her once and I won't again woman. She is as much my daughter as the others are. She is married to our son. Soul brother to another and soul mate to two more. She will be included."
Esther agreed after seeing his anger.

The night the plan was set. Mikaela went to Finn and Selene's cottage first. Kol was there for dinner with them.  He smiled to them both and asked them to celebrate life with him. He gave each mulled wine he had brought. After drinking. He stabbed Selene first apologizing. Ignoring Finn and Kol's shouts. He then turned after laying her down and stabbed his sons as well.  He didn't know in doing this to save the children he loved he destroyed his first grandchild. This death and change would cost Finn and I our first child. As I died so did the baby.

Mikael then went home and proceeded to do the same to his other 3 children. Then turned his sword on himself.
He was the first to awaken.
He took the girl chosen to Selene's home. He found the three awake and confused. He made them drink then left to do the same to the others.

After he left my hands went to my belly as it cramped and I cried out not feeling life left inside. Finn and Kol came to my side holding me. Finn crying as well. It was then Ayana showed hearing the noise. She was shocked and angry.
"Listen child I know you hurt but listen. Mikaela thought to protect you and his children. He did not listen to my warning. You have to be strong now. You three need to leave. Do not let him control you. Leave together today."

Just then Alpha and Beta showed.
"We will take the three of you to a new realm where you can heal and live. First though Selene use your powers to alter both your husband and brother. Make what Mikael did to them stronger and better. Make them have no weaknesses. You have two hours to do so and gather your things. Then a portal will open for you." They then left.
I looked to Kol and Finn and asked.
"Do you want to go with me?"
"I go where you go. You are my wife." Said Finn.
"Same for me sister. I am not leaving you now. I will come too." Said Kol.
I nodded and took both their hands. I saw what Alpha and Beta meant. The sun would burn them, vervain would weaken them, and white oak could kill them. No I would not loose even more from my life. I pushed my magic into them and changed them. Only I could kill them now, the sun and vervain could not harm them. I saw they lost their magic as well. I knew this would hurt Kol the most. So I created powerful magical cores in both like my own. I made sure their bloodlust was gone as well. They would only need some occasionally unless injured. I then gifted them both wolves. So we could be a clan, a family, a coven and a pack all in one.  When done something in me said bite them and I did biting each of their wrists. My mark appearing where I bite. This made them mine and sired to my line it also protected them and myself. It gave them knowledge needed and control.
When done Kol threw himself in my arms thanking me. Finn kissed me softly thanking me. They both began gathering what we would need. Finn placed everything in the bags I made. They were extended and feather light. They would never get full. I had made one for each of us. Kol had slowly been moving in with us so he had no need to go home. Everything important was here. Ayana helped me through the next hour with the miscarriage. Then my body healed itself. I was destroyed over the loss of the child. One of the perks of my magic though is i would not suffer periods yet still be fertile and able to have children. That's why my body healed so easy and quickly after the miscarriage as well.
I broke down when Finn came in to say they were ready.
I apologized over and over. He told me to stop. This was not my fault it was his patents fault alone. He comforted me. He loved me. He told me we could try again later away from his parents.

We joined Kol in the main room as the portal opened. Together the three of us left.

3rd POV:
As we left the realm the other Mikaelsons felt it. They all gasped. Two feel to their knees gasping in pain. The death and now her leaving the realm had broke the spell and binding on their soulmate bonds. They felt it now. All the love they truly held for her came crashing onto them. The hurt and betrayal they had caused swarmed them. It took two hours before either could think beyond the pain and loneliness they now felt at the missing piece.
Mikael in his increased pride and anger killed Ansel and most of his family and pack.
Ayana refused to talk to any of the Mikaelsons and left the village.

The remaining Mikaelsons burned the white oak tree down. Then Esther cursed Niklaus when his hybrid side appeared. Niklaus killed her and blamed Mikael. Elijah had killed Tatia as well, a thing he did not regret this time. The three siblings fled to the "old" world.
