Chapter 19

I sat up in his lap and kissed his nose.

"Morning Mikey."
"Morning beautiful."

I kissed his cheek and got off his lap, but he dragged me back down. I tried to get up again. He had a grip on me and wouldn't let me go.

"Michael, we need to get ready. We have work today."

He let me go and stood up almost throwing me across the room.

"Shit. We do?"
I stood up next to him, "Yes. It's Monday."

We both took quick showers and threw on matching t-shirts without thinking. I put on shorts and he put on khakis. Then we were out the door.

Everyone else was already in the office by the time we got there. I smiled and waved and sat down at my desk next to Michael's.

I forgot the games we played and the videos we made, but I do remember getting mad at Gavin for killing me in the game.

"Gavin! How dare you! I was protecting you and you pull an ass move and killed me!"

He chuckled and I hit his shoulder. Everyone else in the room started laughing. Then when the room was silent, Geoff spoke up.

"So Nagi, Michael. The wedding's tomorrow. You love-birds excited?"

I looked at him like I had seen a ghost, but relaxed quickly when I remembered. I nodded and smiled and Michael started saying something, but I sort of zoned out.

The next thing I know is someone snapped in front of my face. It was Em. I looked at her and Michael.

"Oh sorry. I zoned out."
"Hey babe. Why don't you stay with Em tonight? It's bad luck to see the bride on the wedding day before the wedding."
"Alright, sounds good."

I hugged him and gave him a kiss and he was on his way. I packed up my things and Em took me to her car. I'm getting married tomorrow.

We went to Em's house. Her house was two stories. The kitchen was huge and so was every other room. She had a pool in the backyard. Her house was nice.

"So how's the bride?"
"Excited, scared, nervous, and confused."
"I understand the rest, but why confused?"
"How did it come so fast?"
"I don't know."

We went to bed at 10 that night. I stayed in the room right next to Em's room. My room had a bunch of my clothes in it, along with most of my stuff.

When I wake up in the morning at 5am, I'll be a bride-to-be. That's a scary thought, but it's also an amazing thought.
