Chapter 28

My best friend was laying with my brother. Not in the way that you have to do when you're five and have to share a bed with your best friend. In the way you would fall asleep next to your boyfriend or husband. She must've passed out or something. She wouldn't do that to me. I stomped over to them and pinched both if their noses. They both woke up and immediately started saying "ow."

When Em realized who she was laying next to, she scrambled to get off the couch like she didn't know what happened. Did she do it by mistake? I hope so. She sat on the coffee table while Michael and Gavin sat on the couch. I stood up and dragged Em into the other room.

"I know he asked you out, but he's my brother! You have to ask before you can take!"

"Nagi, it's not what you think."

"Oh is it now. Please explain."

I was being sarcastic and hoped she caught on. She explained anyways.

"He went to the bathroom and I fell asleep on the couch because I got tired of cleaning. I guess he layed beside me."

"Do you like him?"

"He's a good friend, yes."

"As a boyfriend, dumbass."

She started to get flustered. I took that as a yes. I sighed and grabbed her hands. She looked at me.

"If you like him go for it, but not behind my back. Okay?"

"Okay."

Em smiled and we hugged. She walked back into the living room with me following. I dragged Gavin to the other roon this time. I dragged him by his ear, though.

"Gavin. Do you like Em?"

"Well yeah. She's wonderful."

"Ask her out."

"Bu-"

"Just take my advice."

He looked confused. I just walked back into the living room and sat on Michael's lap. Gavin sat next to Em. Michael had his arm around my waist and I had an arm around his neck. Gavin looked at Em and the air got tense.

"E-Ember. Do you want to be my girlfriend?"

I could tell that her eyes lit up. She nodded and hugged Gavin. I started to smile and looked at Michael. He knew what I was thinking, they would end up together at some point.

"So Em. What's couple life like?"

"Oh shut up."

Everyone smiled. I turned on the TV. We could finally play a couple v.s. couple game without anything being weird.

"Who wants to play?"

I gave everyone controllers and I started up the game. Michael and I demolished Em and Gav. Em left and took Gavin home around midnight.

Michael fell asleep on the couch, but refused to go to the bedroom. I picked him up and carried him to the bed. I was pretty strong, but he was also kind of light. I layed down beside him and pulle the blankets over both of us. I fell asleep at about 12:30.
