Chapter 48

"Ember eat the fucking bagel." I barked, pushing the bagel closer to her face. "I can't eat the bagel." Em wined. Barbara was standing beside me now, "Eat the bagel before Nagi eats you." I smiled. "And I might just do that," I leaned my head towards her arm and started acting like a zombie. Em grabbed the bagel and pushed me away, "I'll eat it! I'll eat it!" I smiled and leaned back in my chair, happy with getting her to eat it. I looked to my left and saw Mariel eating whatever she had on her plate while lounging on the couch. Barbara walked over to her, holding a breakfast burrito. I had already ate my breakfast, a bowl of lucky charms, and was now waiting for all the girls to finish so we could stuff the dresses back in the car and go.

Em, Barbara, and Mariel all stuffed their dishes into Em's dishwasher and we grabbed the dresses. Honestly, anyone who didn't know what we were doing probably thought we were insane. Four girls, dressed in our pajamas, stuffing four bags, that could possibly be thought as body bags, into the back of a car. I chuckled out loud to myself as we now piled into the car. Barbara called shot gun so I sat behind Em and Mariel sat behind Barbara. Em was driving and we had the cake, which we some how stuffed into a box, on the seat between Mariel and I. I was holding onto it making sure it wouldn't fall.

Somehow we managed to make place that Em and Gavin were getting married at. Originally it was supposed to be a church, but the decided that a wedding at the park near the company were they went on their first real date was perfect. The park was beautiful. There was a large building complete with a small area set up as the kitchen. I sat the cake, with the help of Mariel, Barbara, and Ember, on the table. Next to the kitchen area was a giant dining hall. It was decorated with lots of beautiful streamers and flowers. All the tables were set, but I didn't bother to count how many there were. I looked to my right and saw a while food bar, complete with a chocolate foutain. Em looked so taken back by everything. She had her mouth hung open and her hands placed on her chest. Mariel placed her free hand, the other one what occupied by dresses, on my shoulder. Barbara looked around, "Holy shit." I looked at her and smilef, "And this isn't even the wedding hall!"

We had to make our way to the dressing rooms. They were two doors down from the main entrance. My mother, along with Em's mother, were already in the room. They took our dresses from us and hung them in the small closet. My mom handed us all  robes to change into so we wouldn't get any clothes dirty from the powders. Mariel, Barbara, Em, and I all changed into the robes and sat down in swivel chairs next to giant mirrors. Em's mom started to do makeup on her while my mom obviously started on me. My mom finished first and moved onto Barbara while Em's mom moved onto Mariel. It took us an hour to do makeup. Next was our hair. Ember's mom started to style her hair. All of the colors she had dyed it years before looked so faded. Her mother curled her hair and stuck in some bobby pins. My mother put my hair into a braided bun, along with Barbara's and Mariel's.

Now we were all rushing to put on our dresses. I had put mine on first and was standing near my mother. I just now had took into account how much she looked like me. Tan colored hair, bright green eyes, and a somewhat-hourglass figure. I suddenly remembered all those nightmares I had about her tossing me out on the streets and how they were only a figure of my imagination. Barbara and Mariel stepped out now and stood by me. They started babbling about something, but immediately shut up when they saw Em walk out. She looked absolutely stunning in the dress and I knew Gavin was going to freak out. Em's mother started to cry and pulled her into a hug. "You look gorgeous, Em!" I said, pulling her into a hug after her mother stepped away. I could see tears in my best friend's eyes and I wiped them away and we both smiled. "Don't get any second thoughts because I don't think I can run away from my own brother." I joked. All the girls in the room started laughing.

Then there was a knock on the door. I rushed over to answer it, only cracking it a tiny but in case it was Gavin. It was Michael. I practically pushed the door open and kissed his lips. I heard my mother clear her throat. "Shit." I whispered and turned around to my mother. I didn't realize that she hadn't met Michael yet. She wasn't able to attend my wedding because her flight had gotten canceled that day. I could here Em, Barbara, and Mariel start to chuckled. My mother stepped closer to Michael and I. "Mum, this is Michael." Michael placed his left hand on my lower back, extending his right arm towards my mother. Even Ember's mom was laughing by now. "Nice to meet you Mrs. Free. I can see where Nagi gets her good looks from." My mom smiled and let out a small laugh. before pushing Michael's hand away and pulling him into a hug. "You don't have to call me Mrs. Free, dear."

Michael looked confused and that only made Em laugh harder. I heard her whisper-yell, "Call her mom!" That made me start laughing. Two years after I actually started working at Rooster Teeth, Em can with Gavin and I back to England. She's been on good terms with my mother, almost like she's her other mom. Em made this habit after her and Gavin got together to start calling my mom "Mum." Em walked up next to my mother and the two hugged. "I'm glad that my boy chose you to marry, Ember." My mother smiled at Em. Em smiled and chuckled, "I'm glad I get to have a mother-in-law as cool as you!" My mother laughed as did Em. Michael told me he had to go back to Gavin and help him tie his tie before Ray and Dan accidentally killed him. I pressed my lips on his and pushed him out the door. When I turned back towards the room, Em was wiggling her eyebrows at me, "Looks like Gav and I won't be the only ones hitting it off today." I lightly punched her in the arm and she mouthed "Ow." I stuck my tongue out at her.

I heard my phone go off and I checked it. Ray texted me to tell me we all had to get in out positions to get ready. I told everyone the update. Em and I's mothers walked out of the room after hugging everyone. "Em, I'm sending your dad in here when it's time for you, alright?" I said, putting an arm on her shoulder. She nodded and I could see her getting nervous. "It's alright, hun. You're marrying my brother, the worst that could go wrong would be him tripping and ripping off your dress." She giggled and I patted her shoulder. Barbara, Mariel, and I all met up at the backdoor to the building and met up with Michael, Ray, Gavin, and Dan. We all said hi to each other. "Oh Gavin, that tux looks great on you." I said, messing up his hair. He fixed his hair and stuck his tongue out at me. "Save that for your wife, B, " Dan joked. "At least I'm going to have one, Dan." Dan glared at him. I stood next to Michael, who I was walking down with. Barbara was walking down with Ray while Mariel was walking down with Dan.
