My eyes started to tear up as my hands almost slapped to my mouth. Did he really just propose?! Oh my god. I nodded, being speechless, a cherry blush on my face.
He smiled, taking my left hand and sliding the ring on, kissing me and then hugging me. "I love you so much, Brit." he whispered. "I love you more, Jersey boy." Em was just about dead at that moment. She wanted this to happen just about as much as I did. So this is it, that day a little girl wished for.
I loved Michael, I really did. I'm so glad I know he feels the exact same way now. Somedays I did think he didn't love me as much, but I'm going to assume for now it was just because of his silly rage moments.
Back at the office the next day, Gavin was the first to notice the ring, "Hey Nags, what's that on your hand?" I shushed him, "Not yet, Gavvy." He nodded and went back to his game. We were in the middle of a Let's Play and I wanted to tell everyone after.
After the video was finished and everyone was trying to stir up some conversation, Michael and I stood up. I was nervous, I have to admit, but I didn't have anything to be nervous about. "We have something to say." Michael started. "We're engaged!" I finished, I lost the nerves I had.
