Team RWBY and JNPR actually get a somewhat happy ending in this. Sure JNPR has Oscar instead of Pyrrha, and a few of the others definitely have scars, like Ruby being rendered mute after one of Neo's attacks damages her vocal cords, but they're alive and together, with Salem gone so it could be much worse. But one day, on a mission to clear Grimm from somewhere in vale, the teams vanish in a flash of light. They end up in the emerald forest and after investigating the sounds of a fight, they find there younger selves having there initiation. There life may not have been horrible, but with this opportunity, they're going to make it better.
