07 《 Friends 》

Marie : Hope ! Hope Davidson! Is that you ?
Hope : Yes I am but who are you ?
Marie : I am Marie Simon the girl who you used to play when you were 5
Hope : Yes ! Yes , I do remember you were my only friend at that time
Marie : I am so happy to see you , I thought I would never see you again ( starts crying )
Hope : Me too but are you still sad Because of what happened ? I didn't get the chance to tell you but I forgave you a long time ago
Adam : I am sorry to interrupt but what happened?
Marie : Well when we were kids Hope and I were best friends but one day we had a fight and .... um actually I called her ..unlucky because she was blind ( looks down with disgust for herself in her eyes )
Hope : Marie come here
( Marie goes near Hope and Hope hugs her )
Hope : Marie I knew you didn't mean it but I never got the chance to talk to you again but I did forgive you
Marie : I called you unlucky and hurt you and look now I am the one who is unlucky !
Hope : Wait what happened ? And I forgot to ask what are you doing at the orphanage did you come to visit me ?
Marie : My parents got divorced and both got busy with their new life partners and sent me to the orphanage ( cries ) I can't even call them parents they are monsters how could they do this to me ! But I heard what happened to your parents I am so sorry Hope
Hope : ( wipes Marie's tears) this is why you were calling yourself unlucky ?
Marie : ( hugs Hope tightly and nods up and down )
Hope : Silly girl , don't feel like that you are not unlucky this is what God had decided and I believe that God has always decided something good for us ( smiles )
Marie : ( starts lightly slapping her face ) ahhh I decided not to cry because I am not a crybaby and why should I care about those who don't care about me , anyways you there ( points at Adam ) who are you and why are you continuously staring my best friend ?
Adam : What I am not ! ( says while sulking )
Marie : Hey stop sulking and give me my answer who are you
Hope : He's my friend
Marie : Oh I see ! By any chance is your favourite colour blue ? Because I mean you are wearing blue head to toe
Adam : Yes it is
Marie : Well that's boring mine is Orange ( says proudly )
Hope : Colour huh ? I don't know what colours are like but if I'd choose then it would be white Because it's the opposite of the colour I hate the most
Adam : so you hate black ?
Hope : It's so dark and terrifying it's all I can see
Marie : ( Hugs Hope ) Don't be sad
Adam : Hey Marie , why don't you move to Hope's room ? She is alone anyways
Marie : what ! Hope is alone ? But I thought in this orphanage 4 kids share one room
Hope : Well due to my condition I asked to be alone because I didn't wanted to be a burden on the one's who stay with me
Marie : what burden ? I am moving in your room let's go talk to Ms Jhonas
Hope : Oh If you say so...
Marie : Hey you Adam ! You gave me a good advice so let's be friends too okay
Adam : sure
Marie : ( whispers in Adam's ear ) but if you ever hurt Hope I will punch you so hard that you will forget your name
Adam : Don't worry I will never do that ( what a creepy girl thinks to himself)
Hope : What were you talking about ?
Marie : Oh nothing important
Hope : oh okay, Adam I'll see you later take care ( smiles )
Adam : ( beams ) Ok you too
( After Coming back from Ms Jhonas office)
Marie : Now that I think about it Summer break is gonna be over soon and school's gonna start , Hope umm will you be in any special school ?
Hope : Don't worry I will go to the same school as you but my books are special though
Marie : Oh I see , I asked because I heard this orphanage had a special school too so
Hope : Like I said _ ( steps on some papers )
Oh I think I stepped on something
Marie : Let me see ...wait is this someone's homework ? Some one named uh Ben Willaims
Hope : Oh no what have I done !
Marie : why who is he ?
( a noise comes from far away Hope stop right there, I saw you ! )
Hope : Ah it's Ben he caught me !
