( The next day )
( Adam brings Hope to his car )
Adam : Get in , we have to go somewhere
Hope : Where is this somewhere ?
Adam : You'll know just be patient
( After 10 minutes of drive Hope and Adam arrive at a certain place )
Hope : Adam where are we ? This noise ... why does it feel like we are in a hospital ?
Adam : Because we are in a hospital
Hope : Adam ! Is everything alright ? No one is hurt right ? Adam I don't have good memories with hospitals tell me what is happening
Adam : Calm down it's just _
Nurse : Doctor Adam ! I am so glad you arrived I wanted to talk about some things with you
Hope : Doctor Adam ?
Adam : Yup .... infact this doctor Adam is an eye surgeon ( smiles proudly )
Hope : ..... wait eye surgeon ? all these years you went missing to study and all this time you were doing this ( says in shock )
Adam : Hope I promised that I will protect you and bring you happiness so to fulfill my promise I have worked very hard so that you can see again
Hope : I ..... I can't believe this you dedicated your life just to .... bring back my eyesight ( starts crying )
Adam : ... I stole your parents from you and caused you so much pain ... I even left you alone but you still decided to love me and to repay for that , I will bring your eyesight back so that you can see and tell that is the person because of whom you suffered so much is even deserving of your love or not ( smiles )
Hope : ( Hugs Adam and starts crying like a kid )
Adam : ( Hugs Hope back ) You can cry your heart out but this will be the last time _
( After sometime )
Adam : Here have some water
Hope : _ thanks
Adam : So are you ready for the test
Hope : Yes I am ( smiles )
( After One hour )
( Adam comes out )
Marie : Adam ! What happened ? her eyesight can come back right ?
Adam : I did a very thorough test and by her old reports it is clear that she lost her eye sight because of a disease called " Keratoconus " this doesn't usually occur until the early teens but can occasionally occur earlier same was Hope's case
Marie : It can be cured right ? ( says with a worried look )
Adam : Yes actually , I already had a meeting with some other professional eye surgeons this saturday and luckily we managed to get a cornea donor . The surgery can be started tomorrow I have been making arrangements for it all week .
Marie : ( sighs in relief and smiles ) I am so happy Hope can see again . So this is where you were busy all week ?
Adam : I had to work really hard for this corneal transplant that's why my schedule a got bit bussier than usual .
Ben : It's alright you did everything perfectly . But are you okay you look nervous ?
Adam : I .... I am .... just having some negative thoughts that's all
Marie : Adam you have to be strong . And why the negative thoughts ? aren't you one of the best eye surgeons
Adam : ( slightly smiles ) you are right I shouldn't be nervous , .... ok then Marie can you bring all of Hope's necessities I am going to shift her to the operation theatre later on
Marie : Sure don't worry
( At night )
Knock * knock *
Hope : Come in
Adam : Your'e awake
Hope : Yeah I just didn't get to sleep well last night so I dozed off
Adam : It's ok we still have time until the surgery ( puts his hand on Hope's hand ) you okay ?
Hope : Ummm .... ( smiles ) just a bit scared
Adam : Hmm and why is that ?
Hope : I am so happy that I'll be able to see your face and everything else because all this I've only felt things and imagined how they might look but ..... what If something bad happens ( looks scared )
Adam : I will be the one to do the surgery and there is very less chance of failure in corneal transplant . Trust me you're gonna be alright
Hope : ( Laughs ) Ofcourse I trust you ( hugs Adam )
