Quick note from jedi- this story will be mostly told from Daltons prospective but a little will be in third person
Daltons pov
Hey my name's Dalton I'm a 13 year old guy who lives in a small town and I've volunteered for a experiment in a lab that pays real well. But for a bit of background I have 1 brother 1 sister both younger than me and live with our parents.
*at the lab*
I've been strapped to a table with a helmet covering my head and face kind of like a VR headset mixed with a motorcycle helmet. The scientist says "This might hurt a bit but this will transfer you into a TV show or story that you think of." I say " ok ready when you are" He turns the machine in and I start to feel sleepy I eventually fall asleep, but when I wake up I'm in a kinda familiar Savanah I yawn and go to rub my eyes I see two yellow paws with brown spots. Then I fall cause I'm on all fours. I hear a giggle from behind me, but when I look, I don't see anyone. I guess it was just my imagination and stand back up and look around with a smile on my face as I realize I'm in the lion guard. I start to walk to the water for a drink and to see what I look like. When I reach the watering hole, I look down into it and see a cheetah cub.
He has purple eyes, which is weird cause I have green eyes in my human form, a yellowish-brown fur, and honestly, it looks pretty good for a cheetah. I laugh at my joke and get a drink but I struggled for a minute trying to figure out how to cup my tongue I figure it out and then I hear something from behind me but this time it's a low growl. I quickly turn around to see a male cheetah that has dark green eyes around my age and is acting serious, but something in his eyes tells me he's a jokester. I sigh and say "Hey is there a problem?"" In a loud but calm voice. He walks closer, examining me, and says, " I don't know yet." In all seriousness. I realize I was thinking about my book, not the lion guard, and he must be Dalton, but I say, "Who are you?"" He responds,"Names Dalton, and I don't think I've ever seen you around, and I've been here for a while." I say,'That's funny, my Name's Dalton, and I'm not from here or the Cheetah kingdom if that's what you're thinking." He raises an eyebrow but says "ok but to stay, Simba will need to approve you." I shrug and say "Okay simple enough."
*time skip 30 minutes*
Simba questioned me for what felt like forever but it's finally over and I walk out a member of the pride but I feel that somethings wrong I shake it off and go meet Dalton cause he asked me to meet him to talk afterwards. When I find him he's with a group of other animals (a hippo, honey Badger, egret, and lion) I recognize them immediately as the lion guard but pretend to not know who they are and everyone introduces themselves and I do the same. After a few minutes, we hear a yell of help from the gazelles, and everyone runs over to help.
