Dalton has spent a lot of time with Amari over the last day and they are very close already.
Hannah pov
*the next day*
Dalton and Fuli agree to help me learn to fight so we find an open space, and Fuli asks, "What does she know." Dalton says,"The basics, pins, offensive and defensive position, scratches, punches, etc... all basic, though.
Fuli says "Ok at least she knows something." Dalton says "Yeah and she's learning from the best." Fuli says "Aww thanks." Dalton playfully shoves her and says,"You wish." I smile and remember how we used to be. I say, "Come on, guys, let's start." Fuli says,"Alright." We start with some review, then we get into the good stuff. At first, Dalton tells me what it is, then how to do it and when, then Fuli helps demonstrate, and then I get to try on Dalton, which isn't fair, but who cares I get to fight my big brother. We do this a few times until Amari walks up (I met her earlier). I say, "Hey Amari," as I lunge at Dalton and bring him down, she says, "Hey Hannah," as Dalton flips me and pins me down. I tap out, and he says, "Hey Amari." He's smiling as she walks over. She says, "Watcha doin." He says,"Just getting some training in." She says,"Oh good." Dalton says,"Is something wrong?" She says "No I was going to hang out." He says," Well, you're welcome to stay and talk." She says,"Ok." I get a drink and look into the water to see what i look like for the first time, really. I have pretty blue eyes and dark fur like Daltons, but my ears have black instead of white. I say to myself, "I look pretty good for a cheetah." I laugh at my joke before I walk back over to Dalton, who is talking with Amari, so neither see me. She nuzzles him, and at first, he looks shocked, but he nuzzles her back.
Dalton pov
*5 minutes prior*
Fuli says, "I'm gonna rest for a bit." I say "OK we're about done anyways." She nods and walks away, leaving em alone with Amari, so she says,"Now that I have you alone, there's something I've been meaning to tell you." I say."What is it?" She looks nervous, which confirms my suspicions, so I say "Amari you know you're the prettiest cheetah I've ever met." I smile, and she blushes and says," I was gonna say that you're the best cheetah I've ever met." She smiles, and I say,"Well, that's good cause I can't get my mind off you, and I was going to ask you if you wanted to go stargazing with me tonight." I blush, and she nuzzles me, which at first catches me off guard, but i nuzzle her back and say,"I'll take that as a yes." Then I hear,"Dalton, really." I break the nuzzle and say,"Hannah!" Amari chuckles, and I run after Hannah eventually pinning her down as she giggles and says,"You pulled a cheetah before you pulled a human." I say I don't have to let you up." She says "Yeah you do." Then she kicks me in the gut, and I ease up slightly, giving her the advantage so she escapes. I chase her for a minute till I run out of breath and give up, so I return to Amari, who says, "You two are funny." I smile and say,"I know." She chuckles and says I'll see you tonight."
Third person pov
Unbeknownst to any of the 3, there's a cheetah watching them that they can't see.
