So first the princess captures me. Then she comforts me? What twisted world have I woken up in?
After she left, I stared at the ceiling and my thoughts went back to Trisha. She saved me by sacrificing herself.
It brings me overwhelming guilt everytime I think about it.
"Ughh." I pulled hard on the handcuffs and growled. What was I supposed to do now? Does she plan on luring my army to her? They probably think I'm on a solo mission.
"Psst.. Lucas!" A voice whispered from a nearby window, and I jumped and looked over at the window.
Scott appeared behind the glass, and I smiled at him in relief.
He picked the lock on the window, and slipped in. Rebecca followed closely behind.
"Rough night?" He smirked mischievously, and I glared at him.
"Could you just get these off?" I shook the handcuffs a little to point his attention to that.
He quickly got them off, and I rubbed my wrists.
"Thanks. What now?"
"Well we get back to the humans. The only question is, how?" Scott said, and I stared at him quizically.
"How did you get in?"
Scott went into a small pocket on his belt, and showed me a couple dead crystals. But I knew what they were, even without the glow.
"Camouflage crystals?"
Scott grinned in response, and looked out the window.
"Well hopefully we don't get caught on the way out. Lucas, lad you lead. After all, you're an assassin, right?" Scott glanced back at me, and I nearly laughed.
"You're saving me, and now you're asking me to lead the rescue?" I deadpanned, and Scott rubbed his hair uncomfortably.
"What can I say? I suck at rescues."
"Obviously! Okay, what we'll do is just scale the roof tops. Are you able to jump far?" I asked, and Rebecca smirked and jumped out the window onto the nearest roof.
"Well I know she can." Scott shrugged, and followed.
I glanced around quickly, and lunged after. Finding soon that my legs were stiff from laying for a while.
"Yah good Lucas?" Scoft asked, and I immediately put a finger to my lip to signal "be quiet."
He got the message quickly and nodded quickly. But.. Accidently fell.
"Idiot!" I hissed as people looked over at him, and gasped.
"Humans!" Someone cried, and almost immediately, guards and knights were jumping on the roof
"Please tell me you have a weapon for me!" I said to Rebecca, who shook her head in despair.
"Scott thought it'd be a quick rescue!" She said, and glared at the poor aussie who was trying to struggle away from the knights that already captured him.
"Arg!" I stomped my foot angrily, and glared venom at the guards.
But suddenly I heard a loud chuckle, amd saw a male who looked too confident for his own good.
"You weren't supposed to escape, general." He said to me, and I narrowed my eyes.
"Kenji!" A voice called, and a boy who looked slightly similiar in features ran over to him.
When he looked up, he narrowed his eyes.
I scoffed, and looked at Rebecca who was fighting a knight, but was losing terribly without her weapons.
"I blame you Scott." I called in annoyance. Scott was now unable to move, and sent an annoyed look up at me.
A knight tried to capture me, but I ducked away, and kicked it's legs, and sent the knight off the roof.
"Disable!" A voice called out, and suddenly I found the weight from my legs disappear, and I crashed to the ground.
I looked to see a girl standing there, holding a crystal that can suck the strength out of someone.
I tried to move my arms, but they didn't respond.
"Too bad general. I don't know why the princess wants you captured instead of executed. But she's the princess." The black haired catori boy walked over, and crouched down to my level.
"Good night!" He said, before he grabbed the hilt of his sword and hit my head hard.
I almost saw stars, before darkness covered my vision.
* * *
I groaned, and slowly opened my eyes to look around. It seemed like a similar cell like the one I was in before. I guess the princess was going against orders by trapping me in her bedroom. But now that I was captured by someone else, that rule doesn't apply.
I looked around slowly, and I heard a nearby groan.
I jumped, and looked to see Scott.
"God damn." He moaned and then looked over at me.
"Oh. Hey general." He greeted like we weren't trapped in a cell together.
I suddenly remembered I was angry at him, and I lunged at him.
"You idiot!" I snapped and hit him on the head.
"Oww why?" He cried, and I glared venom at him.
"You never go into the catori territory without weapons you idiot!" I growled and turned away when I heard the door open.
