My heart broke as I stared at the freshly filled in ground, where my friend laid buried. He was my first friend in this new world. He helped me regain my memories, and help me realize who I am.
With determination, and a new burning hatred for the king of the humans, I rushed to the castle, my only intetion is to somehow kill the king. All of my rational thoughts were at the back of my mind.
Some knights saw me, and I grabbed a green crystal from my pouch. I pointed it at them when I felt the magic surge through me, and they immediately disintegrated.
I quickly fought my way quietly through the castle, until I got bored of doing the same thing and used my invisibility crystal. I probably should've at the start, but I like to make things interesting. I walked quietly through the hallways, but I didn't have a care for the world.
I finally got to the throne room, and the found the king pacing impatiently, and I curled my lip in disgust.
I slipped my green glowing crystal into my hand. If I'm to cast my spell, then the invisible spell will be gone. So I can't miss.
I narrowed my gaze, and channeled my power to the crystal, and waited patiently. Finally the king got into the spot, and I shot the magic. But.. It never reached. Instead, someone who materialized, blocked the magic by countering with their own magic. I cursed as I became visible, and they both looked at me. The one who countered, was a girl who had blonde hair and brown eyes. She wore a purple dress, and a blue cloak. In her hands was a red gleaming crystal.
I gritted my teeth in frustration as I dodged a punch from her when she ran forward.
"Guards!!" The king screamed. I flinched at how insane he sounded, and made a beeline for the doors, with the girl tailing me.
"Hey Rose, we've got the revival crystal, want to go heal-" a random person was shouting at Rose, and I nearly paused. Revival crystal? Right here?! I turned around, and barely dodged Rose as I ducked under her fist and rammed into the person that held a strange glowing crystal that I'd never seen before. The crystal went up into the air as I ran into him, and I quickly lunged forward to grab it, but Rose was a step ahead.
She snatched the crystal, and smirked at me. I hardened my gaze at her, and pulled a crystal from my pouch. I shot her, and she shrieked as she fell to the ground, writhing around. I kicked the crystal from her hand, and watched it slide across the ground before I walked over to it, and picked it up.
It felt.. powerful in my grasp.
"N-no you can't take that!" Rose gasped at me, and I glared at her.
"I guess that's too bad. Because I'm taking it." I said, and used one of my crystals to turn invisible.
I ran back to the catori territory, and stopped and breathed heavily. I finally took off the spell, and paused to catch my breath, by leaning against a tree, and studying the crystal. It was finely shaped, and actually quite smooth. It's not in any books that I know of either.
I shook my head, and remembered that we weren't in the village anymore. I made my way to where the catori were staying, and I looked around. I wanted to tell Princess Aiyana that I have the crystal, but a thought popped into my mind. If this is a revival crystal, then I could bring Lucas back to life.
I walked to where his grave was, and studied the crystal. Hopefully, it works like most crystals, and just casts spells from my own power. Other wise, I have no clue.
I dug up the ground, and found the coffin at last. I was a little bit nervous to open it, knowing my dead friend was in it. But I did it anyway.
Lucas laid there. His black hair wasn't sticking up as it usually was. It was actually pretty tamed.
I looked at the crystal a last time, before I closed my eyes, and reached out to the crystals power. It was nearly overwhelming, and burning, but I ignored the pain, and directed the power to Lucas's corpse.
Once I cut off the power, I stared at Lucas. He wasn't moving still. I sighed, and begun to pick him up and put him back into the coffin, when I felt a struggling breath, and a weak heartbeat.
I gasped, and nearly dropped him, but quickly laid him down. He was squinting, and gripped my hand weakly as he stared at me.
"Wh-What's wrong with me?" He spluttered, as he stared at me. I stared at him in shock, and quickly looked in my pouch, and found the right crystal to help heal someone. It's not as effective as other crystals I've stumbled upon, but it'd have to do.
I gave it to him, and he instantly calmed his breath.
"Did I die?" He asked in a whisper. I smiled, and hugged him.
"yep. How was the after life?" I asked, and he grinned weakly.
"Boring."
"Well let's go see the princess." I said to him, and his eyes went huge, and nodded and stood up, but fell.
"Ugh.. All my strength is gone." He said, and I helped him to Aiyana's door.
"Princess?" I asked, knocking on the door. I got no response.
"I'm just gonna walk in." I grumbled, and opened the door, and was horrified to find the princess and her machete pointing at her.
"Princess!" I shrieked, not even bothering trying to sound manly as I grabbed a crystal from my pouch, and used the magic to force the machete from her grasp. When she looked at me, there were tears going down her face, but when she saw Lucas, she froze.
He staggered forward, and hugged her as tightly as his weak self could.
"L-Lucas?"
