1 DAY BEFORE GRAND OPENING

"Okay Usagi...Which one of these silverware is a steak knife?" A boy said to himself, leaning over one of the many clothed tables. He groaned and picked one randomly, nodding to himself. "This looks like it could kill me. I hereby dub thee as...steak knife!" Usagi put the rest of the silverware in what he hoped was the right order. He blew a pretend trumpet with his mouth and took a bow in front of the table. "May you serve the purpose of which I have no idea. Go forth and prosper, Sir Steak Knife-"

He jumped when he felt a buzz in his pants pocket, sighing with relief that it was just his phone. He whipped it out and groaned. 'Auntie...' Usagi reluctantly answered it, forcing a smile on his face. "Heyyy Auntie! What's up?"

"Just checking in, nephew. Doing alright?"

"Yes ma'am, just setting up the restaurant right now. The grand opening is tomorrow, I don't wanna mess up."

"That's good, because remember what I told you before you got there. If I hear that things aren't going well over there in New York, I'm sending for you immediately. Understand?"

"Auntie, I promise, I've got this under control-!"

"Do. You. Understand?"

Usagi shook his head in frustration and clenched his fist. "Yes ma'am." He tried his best to sound unbothered, having had this conversation before. But he still wished that she would trust him more. He was sixteen, after all. He heard his Aunt sigh from the other side of the call. "I just want to keep you safe, nephew. You insisted that you would stay safe in the city, and now you must prove that to me. I love you with all my heart."

He smiled softly and let out a small laugh. "I love you too, but please. Just trust me this once. I won't let you down, Auntie."
