An hour later, Chizu and Gen went to go find Kitsune, leaving Leo and Usagi there to wait. The rabbit had a solemn look on his face, despite being overly excited minutes ago. Leo grabbed his hand. "What's wrong?"

Usagi looked up at him. "You have to go home now, Leonardo." Leo's mask raised in confusion. "Go home? But what about Kage-ugly or whatever his name is-?" Yuichi smiled and shook his head. "No, you helped enough. I promised your father that I wouldn't drag you into any battles that weren't yours. Miyamoto Usagi's name is cleared...that's all I asked for."

"Oh." Leo felt his heart drop to his stomach. He didn't want to leave yet. Usagi noticed this and suddenly wrapped his arms around him. "I just need to know you'll be safe, and far away from here. I'll see you again, I promise."

The turtle sighed and hugged him back. "Are you sure you don't need me here?" Usagi shrugged. "Physically, no. Emotionally, maybe."

Leo grabbed his shoulders and pulled back to look at his face. "As soon as you get this taken care of, I'm making a portal back here. Whether you come back to New York or I come back to Neo Edo, we will be together again."

Usagi nodded slowly. "We will, Leonardo." He pulled his face closer and they pressed their foreheads against each other. "And when you visit here again, I'm gonna let you tour the whole farmers market, and buy you real milk tea, not just samples."

Leo giggled. "And when you visit New York, I'm gonna take you to all the skyscrapers and watch every beautiful sunset. Just for you."

Usagi closed his eyes and smiled. "Thank you." Leo reluctantly pulled away and drew out his swords, his back turned. He activated them to make a portal in front of him, to what looked like the lair. 'Home...' He thought.

He turned around and saw Usagi giving him a little wave goodbye. Leo tried to give him that confident smirk like always, but it faded as quickly as it came. Before he could step into the portal, he ran to Usagi and pulled him close. "L-leo, what are you-?"

Leo kissed him hard, nearly pushing him back. Yuichi barely had time to react before he pulled away. This time Leo could smirk as he stepped back. "There's more where that came from, as soon as you're done saving the city...Rabbit~"

He saluted and stepped into the portal, it closed as soon as he was all the way in. There he was. The lair, at last. Leo looked around and saw that no one was there. He sighed and made his way to his room. He was about to sit on his bed when he saw Mikey asleep in the sheets. Leo smiled and sat down next to him. "Hey...Mikey...?"

The younger turtle shifted in bed and opened his eyes slowly. "Leo...?"

"Hey buddy. I missed you a lot." Mikey gasped and sat up quickly. "W-we missed you, too! Where's Usagi?!"

Leo chuckled and set his swords up against the wall. "Gimme a second and I'll tell you all about it."

"Some ultimate monster is roaming the streets of Neo Edo, we need to take it down!" Gen exclaimed, Kitsune following behind him. "Yeah, and the Ki-Stone is still weak! We need some sort of power source to bring it back, or use the rest of its power wisely!"

Usagi unleashed his sword. "Of course we've got war robots now, as if Yokai weren't enough!" Chizu came up next to him. "Hey, where's Leo?"

Usagi paused and smiled sadly. "He's back home, where he needs to be. He's done his part, and I owe him a lot. Let's just take care of these things and get the Ki-Stone back!"

They looked up and saw figures flying through the air. "The Bat Squadron is helping us? I thought they hated us!"

Chizu smiled. "I may or may not have made a deal with them for the time being. Let's just say that they're on our side for this fight!"

"Okay, Usagi-" Gen said, turning to the rabbit. "What's the plan?" Usagi gasped. "M-me? O-oh, well...We can't let the Warbotto get to the Kaikishi Temple! Kitsune, I need you on defense with the Bat Squadron! Gen and Chizu, defend the temple as best as you can!"

Everyone nodded. "What will you do?"

He flashed a smile that was all too familiar, Leo's comforting smile of determination. "I'm gonna get the Ki-Stone back up and running, and that's a promise!"

Raph and Donnie walked into the lair, looking tired. "I told you Donnie, he's not here! Leo hasn't been back for almost a week, and I would be surprised if he came back now!"

They both turned and saw Leo sitting on top of the counter with his legs crossed. "Aww, are you guys arguing about me? Don't stop, just pretend I'm not here-!" He was pushed back by both Donnie and Raph forcing him into a group hug. "YOU IDIOT, YOU SCARED US TO DEATH!"

Donnie didn't say anything, he just seemed scared to let go of Leo, as if he would disappear again if he did. Leo smiled and hugged them back. "Sorry, I had to go. But more importantly, I'm sorry that I ignored you guys. I know now that what happened with you-know-who really scarred you guys. And me."

Mikey came up behind them and threw his arms around them. "We just missed you, that's all that matters!"

Leo pat his head. "Thanks, Mikey. I won't disappear like that again, promise. Now, who wants pizza!?"
