"Listen I can't talk for long-" Crowley turns around to the demon behind him, waiting for the phone.

"Crowley?" Aziraphale asks confused, Crowley looks back forward. He brings the phone close so he can whisper.

"I'm getting replaced, there's going to be another demon up there. Take care of yourself, Angel." Crowley hangs up with a sigh, after a few seconds of collecting himself he heads to files.

"Crowley? C-Crowley?" Aziraphale looks at the phone, he hangs up with a sigh himself.

He leans back in his chair, replaying Crowley's words. Was Crowley really replaced? Would be able to come back? This made his heartache.

Crowley is his best friend and he might not be able to ever see him again.

As if god was personally watching over him, he was struck with an idea.

If he could make the demon quit, Crowley might come back. He would need to up his blessings.

As Aziraphale always believed there was more good in the world. So it was much easier to perform a blessing. Just a little nudge here and there.

However, he could not say the same for the opposite side. It's in human nature to be kind, so it's harder to push them to the point of sin and temptation.

Aziraphale had been giving out money and bibles in the park. Going around the town offering to help anyone in need. If he went out to eat he paid for the people around him, and always left a very generous tip.

To say the least, the whole city lived happily, with little to no problems.

The demon pulls his hair roughly watching an old man host a kitten and puppy picnic at the park.

The demon huffs and heads to the escalator to hell. He had been yelled at along with sent notes and messages from Beelzebub themself, about his performance.

Today he was probably going to get fired, but not if he can help it.

He walks up to Beelzebub on their throne, pushing past several demons.

"You? You're not supposed to be her-"
"Yes-yes I know, but I quit. There is too much good in the world." The demon huffs and looks toward the ground.

"I don't know how Crowley does it." Beelzebub hums, extremely annoyed they were interrupted.

"Bring me the demon Crowley then." They say waving off the two demons at her sides.

"You can leave."

Crowley grins as the escalator brings him back to earth. It felt like it's been million years, files was not a good place to be. It's hell if you will.

The first place Crowley goes is the bookshop, only to find it closed and empty. Aziraphale was nowhere inside.

Panic fills Crowley as he searches his favorite places. He runs past the park going to the ritz.

Though he freezes seeing something odd out of the corner of his eye. A man dressed in light tan colors sitting on a bench.

Crowley smiles in relief, though was it really just relief?

"Oh-Crowley your back," Aziraphale says with a shocked expression, he immediately smiles. It warmed Crowley's "cold" heart.

Crowley sits next to him, "Uh.. yeah sorry about that."

Aziraphale shakes his head. "There isn't a need to be sorry my dear boy."

"How was hell?" Aziraphale asks, Crowley rubs the back of his neck thinking of working in files.

"It was..well hell." He lets out a breathy chuckle.

"How about earth?" Aziraphale smiles thinking of all the blessings.

"It.." He pauses, sure everything was amazing. Couldn't be better actually- but he always felt like something was missing. Or rather someone.

"It wasn't the same."

A comfortable silence filled them. One that spoke millions of words, one that made them feel warm on the inside.

It was at this moment Crowley decided they were truly on their own side.
