Spooky month John x Jack fluff

Rain poured against the roof of the police station pulling both Jack and John from their work. John chuckles looking over at his husband.

"Told you." Jack rolls his eyes with a playful smile. It got quiet again once John focused on his work, Jack however stared out the window.

"It's bad.." He comments, and John looks up again. He glances at the window. "And?"

"I hope it doesn't ruin our plans," Jack says with a sad tone. John turns a bit pink, he had forgotten about their plans- work just had been so busy.

Today was a special day, such a special day he wanted to call off work. Though being the only officers in town had its downfalls- it was all downfalls really.

Today was his and Jack's one year anniversary. It was only one year ago that they had their first date, and less than five years ago since he had met Jack.

John didn't even think the relationship would last this long, because he could be quite problematic. He was sure by now Jack would've broken it off yet, he stayed.

He warmly smiles feeling butterflies in his chest, and his stomach twists. God, Jack made him feel like a love-struck teenager again. John fell for Jack hard and he knew that it was reciprocated.

"John?" Jack says pulling John from his pleasant thoughts.
"Uh..yeah?"

Jack chuckles standing up. "I said I'm ready to go when you are."

John glances down at his computer, loads of work that still needed to be done.

"Yeah...it's fine-lets go," John says as he quickly stands up. He shuts off his computer and puts on his jacket.

He takes his place next to Jack, immediately feeling short under the younger. Jack stops him from leaving by raising his hand, he gently cups his partner's cheek.

He rubs John's cheek gently and pulls him into a soft and loving kiss. The kiss only lasted a few seconds before Jack pulled away.

"Ready to go?" John nods a little pink.
"Yeah let's go."

They walk to the doors of the station, Jack pulls out his umbrella. John holds the door open so Jack can slip through. Jack smiles and thanks him before holding the umbrella over him and John.

John blushes and grumbles something about how he could do it himself. Jack laughs and takes his hand.

After a moment of comfortable silence and the pouring rain, John spoke up.

"Happy anniversary, Jack." Sure he had already said it a few times today, but Jack deserved to hear it a million times.

"Happy anniversary." John smiles, feeling a heat spread across his chest.

"I love you,"
"I love you too,"
