Just a little messed up

Shit

Four more days to go for Woman's Day. I'm nervous. The song is selected but I'm not good at singing. Miss Veronica asked me to pick girls who can sing and Lia comes to my mind. I don't say anything but as soon as I was about to leave the class, Miss Veronica stops me.

"Actually, can you help me?" I walked back to her desk. "Yes Miss" 

"I'll give you a few names, ask them to come to class 9B in the sixth period" She started writing a few names on a piece of paper and then handed it over to me. I nodded and walked out of the staff room. 

I looked at the paper. It had four names written on it and as I analyzed it, I did not want to proceed any further. Lia was written along with other names. 

I think maybe she's calling her for some work, yeah of course it's that. She's the captain after all. But now I have to interact with her? I walk to the opposite class to inform the girl what Miss Veronica said. 

I did go to all the classes to inform a particular girl. Then, at last, I walk to my class. The bell rang as soon as I entered the class. It was lunch and my hands start to sweat because I was nervous.

I saw Lia standing in her place to move out of the bench, okay this  is it Yeji. "Lia" She turned to see who was calling her and she wasn't even surprised that it was me. "Yes?" what do I have to say to her? Why don't I remember anything all of a sudden? "What is it Yeji?" She questions again and I'm just staring at her. Like my muscles stopped responding, they aren't functioning.

I cleared my throat "Miss Veronica wants to see you" She was surprised by that piece of information. "She wants to see me?" She clarifies and her eyes widen. It seems like she thinks she's in trouble. I nod. "Do you know why she is asking for me?"  I sigh. I don't know and I don't want to guess and give her the wrong information.

"You should ask her," I said and walked to my seat at the back. But then I suddenly remember that Miss Veronica also asked me to inform the time and the class. "Hey Lia"

She was near the door, I guess she was going out but she stops and looks at me to continue. She is quite far from me so I need to shout across the classroom. "sixth period, 9th B" She nods and we carry on with our lunch. 

As I reach my seat, Ryujin moves out for me to get it. She wiggles her eyebrows and laughs. Yuna looks at me in disbelief. "You just talked to Lia?" She gasps, she can be a little over dramatic. "I was kind of forced to" Ryujin keeps laughing.

"Can you shut up?" She knows I'm not all that serious so she is still laughing. I heaved a sigh because she is about to tease me. "What did you say anyways?" Ryujin asks. "Miss Veronica called her and I'm scared that it is related to the song" I take out my tiffin and open it.

"So what if it is about the song? She won't know that it is about her unless you know, you want to disclose it to her" 

"Ryujin shut up and eat" Lia scares me for real. Her presence is a huge distraction in my life. "So when are you going?" Ryujin asks. She can't eat her food in silence. "Sixth period"

"You mean next period?" Holy shit. I did not realize it is right after lunch. I pull out my book from the bag and start turning pages to find where I wrote the hard copy of my song. "I'm not ready for this" I'm stressing out. I know I'm capable of many things but I need reassurance again and again.
