Jannat: "Next time, be careful, Mr. Nigam. Not every time will I be there to bring back your lost child."
Her tone carried not just anger but the weight of ten years of resentment. She believed Siddharth had been irresponsible, leaving his daughter alone and lost. Jannat's words triggered something inside Siddharth. His shocked gaze immediately turned into fury.
Siddharth: "Thank you so much, Miss Zubair, for this favor." (He said in a tone far from thankful.)
Jannat: "There are many favors you owe me, Mr. Nigam."
Abhishek could clearly see where this argument was heading. He needed to stop them before the untold truth of the past decade surfaced in the worst way possible.
Abhishek: "Thank you so much, Akshu, for bringing Khushi back. I was thinking—why don't you stay here tonight? The weather is bad."
Jannat: "It's Jannat, Mr. Nigam."
Abhishek: "That may be for outsiders, but for me, you will always be my Akshu." (He said with a small smile.)
Vaish and Avneet exchanged confused glances. They couldn't understand why Abhishek was calling her Akshu. Did he know her? If so, how? On the other hand, Khushi carefully observed Siddharth and Jannat—there was something strikingly similar about their faces.
Vaish: "Abhishek, what is going on here? Do you know Jannat?"
Jannat turned towards Vaish and gave her a small smile before turning back to Abhishek. Her eyes filled with unshed tears—her dada, the one who once claimed he would give his life for her, didn't even feel the need to tell his wife about his younger sister. She tried to compose herself, but her voice betrayed her emotions.
Jannat: "Dada, I didn't expect this from you. All these years, I thought—everyone might forget me, but not you. But today, you proved me wrong. Today, once again, you proved that he—" (she pointed at Siddharth) "—matters more to you than anyone else."
Her last words were filled with anger. Siddharth clenched his fists, struggling to control himself. Jannat's words from their last encounter at Imagica echoed in his mind.
Siddharth: "Then that's your problem. The day you left this house, left the people in it . From that moment, you became a stranger to us. So, it would be better if you leave as soon as possible."
Siddharth had lost his self-control. He was speaking words he never imagined saying—words he would surely regret. Abhishek, who had been trying to calm the situation, finally lost his temper.
Abhishek: "ASHU! HOW COULD YOU TELL HER TO LEAVE? DON'T FORGET, SHE HAS THE SAME RIGHTS OVER THIS HOUSE AS WE DO!"
Siddharth: (Shouting) "NO, DADA! SHE LOST ALL HER RIGHTS THE MOMENT SHE STARTED SEEING US AS HER ENEMIES AND DECIDED TO LEAVE WITHOUT A WORD!"
Jannat, now equally enraged, matched his tone.
Jannat: "THEN DON'T FORGET—THE REASON BEHIND IT ALL WAS YOU! HOW YOU—"
Abhishek cut her off before she could finish.
Abhishek: "STOP IT, BOTH OF YOU! JUST STOP!"
Jannat: "No, Dada, not today! He is the reason behind all my suffering. He stole my happiness!" (She said while pointing at Siddharth.)
Siddharth: "I haven't done anything to make you leave this house!"
Jannat: "Don't force me to speak the truth, otherwise—"
Again, Abhishek interrupted.
Abhishek: "STOP!"
Jannat: "Why don't you stop your brother? He's the one who started everything!"
Abhishek: "My brother? He is also your brother, Akshu!"
Jannat: "No, he is nothing to me. He is just a—"
Siddharth: "ENOUGH!"
Jannat's every word cut through Siddharth like a blade. He could tolerate everything—but the moment she denied him as her brother, it broke him to the core. The sheer hatred in his twin's heart suffocated him. Unable to take it any longer, he grabbed his car keys and ran out of the house.
Abhishek immediately sensed the shift in Siddharth's emotions. His presence, once filled with fury, suddenly seemed hollow. Worried, Abhishek called after him.
Abhishek: "Ashu...!"
But Siddharth didn't stop. Without thinking, he ran.
Outside, the slow drizzle had turned into heavy rain. The downpour blurred everything, mirroring the storm inside Siddharth's heart.
Vaish: "Abhishek, the rain is getting heavier. It's not safe to go outside. Go and stop baby bro!"
Abhishek nodded, ready to follow Siddharth. But just as he moved towards the door, he stopped—his eyes landing on someone standing at the entrance.
