Avi looked at her brother, her face filled with fear. "Bhai... I will tell you the truth, but promise me you won't panic."

Abhisek, already feeling the unease in her voice, responded urgently, "Panic? Avneet, please just tell me the truth. Please, Avneet."

Taking a deep breath, Avi closed her eyes and finally said the words she had dreaded. "Bhai... actually... Last night... Siddharth..."

Abhisek leaned in, his heart racing. "Ashu what, Avneet?"

Avi hesitated a second more, then blurted it out, "Siddharth met with an accident."

The world around Abhisek seemed to blur. His legs gave way and he sat on the bed, stunned. "You're lying... right? You're joking...?"

Avi moved beside him, hugging him tightly, trying to steady his trembling frame. "I'm telling the truth, Bhai. And... Faisu and Akshu went to Paris, not London."

But her last words barely reached him. Abhisek was lost in thought, spiraling through fear. Something struck him suddenly—he stood up abruptly and reached for his phone to call Vishal, his secretary. Avi, realizing what he was about to do, quickly snatched the phone and ended the call.

"Avneet..." His voice was soft and broken.

"Bhai, please... First, calm down," she said gently, handing him a glass of water. He took a sip and exhaled deeply, trying to gather his shattered composure.

"I want to go to him... Please, I want to see my Ashu," Abhisek whispered, tears clinging to his lashes.

"I want to go too," Avi admitted, "but then who will handle everything here? We can't let the others know about the accident."

Abhisek fell into deep thought. Then, without another word, he took his phone back and dialed Akshu. Avi didn't stop him this time.

After a few rings, Akshu picked up. "Hello... Akshu..."

"Dada..." Her voice trembled.

"I want to see Ashu," Abhisek choked on the words, barely holding back a sob.

"Dada, what happened? Why are you crying?"

"Akshu, stop acting now. I know everything. I know about Ashu's accident. I know you and Faisu are in Paris."

Akshu gasped. "What... what do you mean?"

Before she could continue, another voice interrupted. "Hero..."

Khushi had come to call Avi and Abhisek for breakfast, but she overheard the devastating truth. Her eyes welled up instantly, tears spilling over as she stared at them.

"Khushi..." Avi rushed to her, picking her up and shutting the door to prevent anyone else from hearing.

"Mumma... hero..." she sobbed uncontrollably in Avi's arms.

"Khushi, baby... calm down. Nothing has happened to him," Avi whispered, wiping her tears.

"But Chachu said he met with an accident," Khushi cried harder.

Avi looked at Abhisek helplessly. On the other end of the call, Akshu was listening, her anxiety rising.

"Khushi baby, your hero is fine," Avi said again.

"Then tell him to call me," Khushi sniffled.

Akshu, hearing this, quickly said, "Dada, put the phone on speaker." He did so.

"Hello... Cutie..." Akshu's voice softened.

"Doll..."

"Baby, stop crying. You want to talk to your hero, right?"
