The wheels of the aircraft touched down on Parisian soil, and Faisu-Jannat, without wasting a moment, made their way straight to the hospital. As per Faisu's message, Riyaz was already waiting at the hospital gate. The moment Akshu stepped out, she didn't even acknowledge the surroundings—her urgency had only one name: Siddharth.

She rushed to Riyaz, breathless. "Where is Ashu? What's his room number?"

The desperation in her voice startled Riyaz. "Room 205," he said, a little stunned. Without another word, Akshu dashed inside.

Back at the entrance, Faisu and Riyaz embraced briefly. "How is he?" Faisu asked, his voice low and tense.

"Out of danger," Riyaz replied, offering a small smile. "But he needs care."

Faisu nodded with relief. "Thank you... for taking care of him."

Riyaz chuckled. "Oh, hello, mister. He's not only your friend, okay?"

"Oh right, I forgot that," Faisu replied playfully, and they both shared a soft laugh. "Is he conscious?"

"No, he's in deep slumber. The medicines are strong."

"Then... let's go sit in the cafeteria?"

"Sure."

The two walked off together, their expressions finally beginning to relax.

Inside Room 205

Akshu stood outside the door, peering through the small glass pane. Her heart clenched. There he was—her twin brother, unconscious, with bandages around his head.

She pushed the door open gently and stepped inside with trembling feet. Her eyes noticed another figure beside the bed—a girl asleep on the stool, her head resting against the bed, one hand holding Siddharth's.

Akshu ignored her presence and quietly moved to the other side of the bed. As she reached to hold Siddharth's hand, she paused—his hand was also wrapped in bandages. The sight broke her. A sob escaped her lips before she could suppress it.

The other girl stirred, awakened by the sound. She looked up and recognized Akshu immediately. Quietly, she got up and walked over to her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.

Akshu, thinking it was Faisu, leaned into the touch. "Faisu... please tell him to wake up..." her voice broke again.

But the next word that came from the girl's mouth stopped her. "Jannu..."

Akshu's eyes flew open. She turned around. "Anushka?" she whispered in disbelief. It was indeed their childhood friend—the one who used to call her "Jannu" and Siddharth "Crime Partner."

She stood, stunned. Anushka wiped the tears off her cheeks gently. "Wanna have coffee with me?" Anushka asked.

Akshu nodded, but turned back to look at Siddharth one more time. Anushka, understanding, said, "He's in deep sleep because of the meds."

With another nod, Akshu followed her out.

In the Cafeteria

They sat across from each other with coffee in hand. The silence between them was thick, awkward.
