After disconnecting the call, Avneet quietly made her way downstairs. As she reached the living room, Vibha's anxious voice reached her ears. "Abhi..."
Avneet moved to stand beside Abhishek. He glanced at her, then towards Khushi, silently confirming that Khushi had already spilled the truth. Vaishnavi came over and gently placed her hands on Avneet's shoulders.
"Avni," she said, her voice trembling with concern, "now you tell me what's going on. Please."
Ranveer added, "Yes, beta. You tell us. We've been asking Abhi for so long, but he won't say a word."
Vibha's eyes were desperate. "Is Khushi telling the truth? Is something really wrong with Kahna?"
Avneet looked at Abhishek, uncertain. He gave her a small, solemn nod—his silent way of giving her permission to tell the truth. "Okay," Avneet said calmly. "I'll answer all your questions. But please, first sit down."
They were all desperate for answers and did as she asked without protest. Abhishek called Abhinav to sit beside him, knowing well that the child wouldn't be able to handle the news easily. Khushi clung to Avneet's side, her little arms wrapped tightly around her.
"Avni," Vaishnavi pressed gently, "please tell us what happened."
Avneet took a deep breath, steadying her voice before speaking. "I'll tell you everything, but I request you not to panic or take any unnecessary tension."
"Avneet..." Vibha tried to interrupt.
"Please," Avneet said, her voice soft but firm.
Vibha nodded reluctantly. "Alright. Say it."
"First of all," Avneet began, "Siddharth is fine."
"Are you telling the truth?" Vibha's voice quivered, her hands clenched in her lap.
Avneet nodded slowly. "Yes, I promise."
"But Khushi said something else..." Vaishnavi added, her worry resurfacing.
"I'll explain. Last night, Siddharth met with an accident."
The expressions on every face shifted—worry settled in like a storm cloud. Before the panic could spread, Avneet continued quickly, "But he's out of danger. He's recovering."
A collective breath of relief passed through the room, the tension loosening just a little.
"Faisu and Akshu have gone to London to bring him back."
Vibha leaned forward. "Kahna is safe, right? There's nothing to worry about anymore?"
"He's absolutely fine," Avneet assured gently.
Without another word, Vibha rose and walked straight to the home temple. She lit a diya before the statue of Krishna, tears in her eyes. Vaishnavi, Ranveer, Khushi, and Avneet followed, standing with folded hands beside her.
"I'm so thankful to you, Kanhaji," Vibha whispered with deep emotion, "for protecting my Kahna."
"Thank you, God," Vaishnavi added, her voice warm with gratitude. "Today I'll make kheer for you."
While they stood immersed in prayer, Abhishek sat with Abhinav, gently resting a comforting hand on his son's head. Feeling his father's touch, Abhinav turned and hugged him tightly, burying his face into his chest.
"Handsome is okay, right?" his voice trembled.
"He's perfectly fine," Abhishek replied, trying to smile.
"Did he get hurt?" the boy asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Abhishek hesitated. "Yes... a little."
